Her hair fell on her face as she slept with her head against the window. He tried hard to keep his eyes off her and concentrate on the road but with only a few miles to reach campus, he really wanted to give up. Everything was turning out to be a mess. This wasn't how it was supposed to go. This wasn't planned. He had feelings for her. Deep feelings and he knew that in the end, he'd have to hurt her. And he didn't want to. He loved her. It'd been a long time since he'd loved someone as deeply he did Ashley.

When it came to Kelsa, she was just a whore, a time pass girl. She didn't mean anything to him. She never did. Although she had the hands to pleasure him, and make him feel good but she wasn't his type. She was probably fucking some random guy right now and he didn't even care about it. It didn't even bother him. All she wanted was to get a good fuck. That's it. She didn't care about feelings, she wasn't a feelings type of a girl. A whore. That's what she was.

Looking over to his side, he noticed how Ashley's chest rose and fell as she slept. Suddenly she stirred in her sleep and Niall quickly turned his head back looking at the road in front. He still had another mile to go before they reached their dorms and it was already getting really late. It was 10 pm and by the time they'd reach it would be around 11 pm.

He parked the car quietly and got down. Not wanting to wake up Ashley, he opened her side of the door and undid her seat belt, before taking her in his arms. Kicking the door shut, he walked back to the dorms, where everything was quite and still. He knocked on her door and after five minutes, the door opened slightly, light seeping in the dark room.

"Oh." Ashley's roommate said, stepping aside and opening the door farther.

"Thanks." he said, and stepped in.

The room smelt of roses and jasmine, and it was neat and clean. If she'd seen his room, then she would've run away without saying a word. Or maybe even before she stepped in, she would've run away. He laid Ashley down on her bed, and pulled the covers on top of her.

"Niall." said a groggy Ashley, holding Niall's jacket, pulling him oh-so-close.

"Yeah?" he asked, trying not to make any noise.

Her roommate seemed to have gone back to bed.

"Thanks for tonight." she said and pulled him down, giving him a quick kiss on the lips before letting go and falling back asleep.

"Your welcome." he whispered and kissed her hair before leaving the dorm room and quietly shutting the door behind himself.

He grinned to himself as he made his way back to the car. Sitting down, he turned on the ignition and drove off into the night in the direction of his apartment that was just behind the dorms.


Morning came, and the sun shone brightly through the windows seeping in through the curtains. He opened his eyes, squinting. And he could hear the familiar faint voices echoing through the apartment. He got up and went for a quick shower before he decided to face them. He wasn't ready yet. He knew he wouldn't ever be. It was, after all, about Ashley. He couldn't bear to break her heart.

She was so fragile, like himself. Except that he didn't show it on his face or emotions but she did. She was free as a bird. And open, very open about her feelings and emotions. About everything.

The hot water cascaded down his body, wetting his hair. He closed his eyes for a brief moment and Ashley's face flashed before his eyes. And he couldn't take it. But he couldn't back out now. It was too late. Everything was done. The deal was made. Hands were shaken. This was all part of the plan. But what wasn't was him developing feelings for her.
