Priceless

Without thinking I had plunged the small pocket knife I hide in my night stand into my stomach,
I didn't understand why I was doing it, all I knew was that it hurt way worse than I thought.

I let out a loud gasp as i hit the ground I layed there for what seemed hours but really was minutes, I looked towards my left and saw my phone weakly I grabbed for it and hit call on the person who recently txt me.

After a few rings I heard a thick British accent on the other line.

"Ello? Jessie?"

Closing my eyes slightly I gasped and barely above a whisper tried to speak

"H..Help M..Me"

I repeated it several times before I could say anything more I went unconscious..


* 1 week later*

I fluttered my eyes open a few times, everything was hazy all I could see was something bright in my eyes which must have been the sun.

I again opened my eyes and let them adjust to my surroundings which wasn't much a window to my left and a machine which I was hooked up too, to my left was my best friend.

With a scratchy throat I managed to say her name

"Autumn"

I said before coughing up what seemed like my lung only to be met with a glass of water with a straw poking out of it in my face which I took into my mouth and began to drink till my tongue was not like sand paper and my thirst was quenched.

I looked up at Autumn who now looked angry at me

"What the hell were you trying to prove Jess?"

I opened my mouth to speak but closed it as she started to speak again

"You scared the shit out of me? were you seriously going to leave me by myself to face life alone or walk back into that hell hole of a school and be alone who would give me courage to even say hi to the cute guys who play their guitars out in the hallways before school started?!!!"

She hollered before she even realized she was hollering looking at me she sighed when she saw me flinch a little bit

"Jessie I'm sorry...it's...it's just you scared me to death...I got a disturbing and urgent call from Harry who said Louis got a call from you and you were saying help me help me help me over and over again before the line ended and I rushed over to your house to find you bleeding like a stuffed pig about to be slaughtered on your floor!!!"

I looked down ashamed of not thinking before I did anything, I didn't realize Autumn loved me so much I mean yes she was my best friend but she really loved me, bet my dad was too drunk to even notice that I was bleeding half to death.

"I'm sorry Autumn I just didn't think about you before I stabbed myself"

"Why did you even do it in the first place Jess?"

"My dad came home drunk like he usually did Autumn and Louis had stayed over because crazy girls were after him and the other's wouldn't come for him so after he left the next morning some how my dad found out and he went crazy and called me a bitch and a slut and he started hitting me and I just couldn't handle it anymore"

She came closer and hugged me tightly as she did so I could feel her starting to cry as she pulled away I saw her eyes and how sorry she was before she could say anything a woman and a man came into my room after knocking.

"Hi are you Jessica Sanders?"

I nodded slightly looking confused at Autumn

"HI I'm agent Cooper and this is agent Banks were detectives and we have bad news for you"

I looked at them like could this day get any worse?

"Were sorry to say but you are being removed from your home and placed in Foster Care"

"What!!! I'm eighteen you can't do that"

"We can if you can't provide a steady home for yourself"

Before I could answer them my door once more opened as Harry stepped inside and closed the door.

"No she will be staying with me till she can provide for herself"

they turned to him and raised an eyebrow

"I'm sorry but boyfriends don't count towards her being out of this situation"

"I'm not her boyfriend, I'm her cousin and she will be staying with me"

"Where exactly is that?"

"Right now she will be joining me on tour as I finish my tour up and then going back to L.A. with me"

"She still has school to attend"

"I will get her the best teacher/tutor who can join us and teach her on the tour"

"Very well but we will expect you to show proof of her being schooled while with you"

He nodded and they walked past him and out my door, He turned to me his curly hair and green eyes shining more the way the sun was hitting it.

"Jessie its true your coming with me on tour I have already arranged everything for you as soon as they release you, you will be joining me and the boys for the last leg of the tour"

He turned to Autumn as he sat at the edge of my bed

"Your welcome to join us whenever you can if you'd like"

She nodded still in shock he knew her name as for me well I took one more look at him before drifting off into a peacful sleep not worried if i'd get beat again or not.
