Vic’s POV

“Viiiiiiiic.” Jessa walked up to me with her “I’m going to ask for something” smile.

“What do you want?” I yawned.

“Can I use your sunglasses? Jaime broke mine.” She frowned poking my arm.

“Sure.” I chuckled handing her the glasses from my face.

“Thanks Tinta, you’re the best.” She kissed my cheek and walked away pulling out her phone. “Hello?”

“Who’s she talking to?” Tony asked pointing over to his daughter who was giggling on the phone.

“No clue.” I mumbled looking over at the fans.

“Oh.” He shrugged and walked away to where everyone else was standing.


Jessa’s POV

“Who’re you on the phone with babygirl?” Vic asked at almost the end of the signing.

“Hold on.” I said into the phone while I looked at Vic. “My friend, Zayn.”

“Oooh, is he cute?” Vic cooed loud enough for Zayn to hear. “By how red your cheeks are, I’ll take that as a yes.”

“Vic, I swear to everything holy, I will hurt you.” I clenched my jaw and held my phone tighter.

“Oh Tony!” Vic yelled running to tell on me.

“Fuck, Zayn can I call you later? If I don’t explain myself, I’ll never hear the end of it.” I walked toward Vic and my dad.

“Good luck.” He laughed hanging up on me.

“Victor Vincent Fuentes!” I was running in their direction. “Dad.”

“-a boy. I think they’re dating.” Vic was worse than a kid in elementary school telling on someone for doing something stupid.

I sighed as my dad looked over at me. He shot a glance over at a very eager Vic and shook his head before looking at me again. I looked away when I saw his expression change.

“Okay?” Something changed in him. “She’s almost 18, she can make her own decisions.”

“Wha….huh?” Jaime commented from next to my dad. “You feeling okay, Tony?”

“I’m fine.” He mumbled looking at me again. “let’s go for a walk.”

We started toward the bridge while the guys cooed about me getting into trouble. I didn't know what to expect so my mind was racing. My dad was quiet until he stopped and leaned against the railing of the bridge.

“What’s his name?” He asked bluntly.

“Zayn.” I mumbled slipping my hands into my back pockets.

“How’d you meet him?” He didn't seem comfortable with this conversation and I wasn’t either.

“Work and we’re just friends.” I looked around at the fans that were watching us talk.

“Has mom met him?”

“Not yet, I’ve only known him for like a week but she will soon. That’s what I was trying to work out with him.” My words were rushed and shaky.

“Can I meet him?” He cleared his throat.

“No? He’s back in New York…?”

“That’s what I’m trying to say. I’m coming home for a month.” He smiled.

“Really?” I was almost in tears just thinking about him coming home.

“Yes.” He moved closer to me and wrapped me in one of his famous bear hugs. “Were you really making plans with him?” He asked letting go of me.

“Yea, I know how you are with guys so I wanted mom to meet him.

“Do you know why I’m like that though?” I shook my head as an answer. “It’s not because I don’t trust you. It’s just I know how a guy your age thinks when they see a girl like you.” Great the birds and the bees are the subject for today. “And I don’t want you to trust the wrong guy.”

“What do you mean?”

“I don’t want you to fall for the wrong guy. I know you will because that’s part of growing up but I want to be there to help you through the hard times.” These were the moments I loved, where I get to see his mushy side. “I’m coming back so I can be there for you.”

“I don’t even care why you’re coming home, I’m just happy you are.” I smiled up at him. “I’ve missed you so much dad.”

“I’ve missed you too Sissy.” He hugged me again. “I love you.”

“I love you too dad.” I could hear the crowd roar as we hugged again it made us both laugh and pull back.
