Chapter 27: No rules
Jessa’s POV
I slipped my phone back into my pocket with a smile and looked in the mirror. There’s just something about today…I’m going to enjoy this. I get to spend the entire day with Tinta, Jack and Alex. I laughed at the thought of being with them all day while I walked toward the door. I picked up my bag and ran down stairs where I found everyone doing something.
My parents, Mike and Angela were packing stuff up in the kitchen, like they were going somewhere and Jaime, Zack and Rian looked like they were going somewhere too. I looked down at my bare feet while I walked to the kitchen.
“Good morning Sissy.” My dad smiled and walked closer to me. “What’re your plans for today?”
“Uhm, I’m hanging out with them.” I pointed to the couch where Jack, Alex and Vic sat.
“Please keep an eye on them, you know how they can be.” It was odd to hear my dad tell me to take care of them but I understood it.
I nodded and smiled, walking through the kitchen to the refrigerator. My dad moved out of my way and sat on the counter. He looked like an over-grown kid as he swung his legs. I gave up on the fridge and sat across from my dad, we watched my mom walk over to me.
“We’ll be back tomorrow, okay? Take care of the house and please make sure they don’t eat everything.” My mom seemed excited to leave and I knew why, they were all going out of town on a ‘couples retreat’. “Actually, come here.”
She grabbed my hand and yanked me off the counter, pulling me toward the living room. I tripped over my own feet while following her, she gestured me to sit on the couch next to Alex where his arm was resting on the back of the couch. He smiled at me as I sat down next to him and looked up at my mom while my dad walked in slowly.
“Okay, some ground rules since it will be just you guys tonight; please try not to eat everything in the house, if you are going to throw a party or have people over clean up the mess before we get back and please don’t get the cops called on yourselves.” My mom treated us all like we were kids. “Any questions?”
Vic raised his hand mockingly with a smile, making my mom roll her eyes at him. She flipped him off and but then let a small giggle leave her lips while she pointed for him to talk.
“What’re the rules about Zayn?” Vic put his hand down as everyone looked at me.
I felt my cheeks burn red but I didn't know what to say. Zayn and I had talked this morning for the first time in like 5 or 6 days and had plans for tomorrow morning. I looked at my mom and messed with my hair but she shook her head and looked at Vic.
“There aren’t any rules about him, he’s welcome to stay here if he wants to. I trust them to make good decisions.” My mom smiled at me.
“We should probably get going Chels.” My dad touched her arm and guided her back to the table where her stuff was.
My mom nodded and picked up her stuff before heading toward the door. After the goodbyes and they left, I looked at Rian, Zack and Jaime standing in the living room.
“Where’re you guys going?” Jack asked them while Alex moved over to me.
“Downtown to skate, you guys want to come?” Rian’s offer was genuine, you could tell by his smile.
I looked around at the guys sitting on the couches and saw them nodding excitedly. Rian smiled when we all agreed on going with them.
“Do you think Zayn and Harry want to come with us?” Vic seemed kind of excited too.
“Sure.” I stood up from leaning against Alex. “I’ll be back in a few minutes.”

“Where’re you guys going?” Jack asked them while Alex moved over to me.
“Downtown to skate, you guys want to come?” Rian’s offer was genuine, you could tell by his smile.
I looked around at the guys sitting on the couches and saw them nodding excitedly. Rian smiled when we all agreed on going with them.
“Do you think Zayn and Harry want to come with us?” Vic seemed kind of excited too.
“Sure.” I stood up from leaning against Alex. “I’ll be back in a few minutes.”
