Love in a Photograph
You belong with me
Hayley's POV:
I lay on my bed on this cold Tuesday night. Headphones in 'You belong with me' playing and I feel a bit better. I get out of this hole I have been in for past two weeks. I get up and start dancing around. That's the thing I love most about music whatever mood your in you listen to the lyrics and feel the beat takes over your mind, body and soul. So I turn the music up and escape away.
You're on the phone with your girlfriend
She's upset, she's going off about something that you said
'Cause she doesn't get your humor like I do.
So true!
I'm in the room, it's a typical Tuesday night.
I'm listening to the kind of music she doesn't like.
And she'll never know your story like I do.
It is a Tuesday night. although I never really knew what kind of music Steph likes.
I know Harry's story I mean otherwise why would he choose to live here instead of her place.
But she wears short skirts
I wear t-shirts
She's cheer captain
And I'm on the bleachers
Dreaming about the day when you wake up and find
That what you're looking for has been here the whole time.
Yep so true. She is basically everything I'm not.
Now I stand up and dance all around my room.
If you could see
That I'm the one
Who understands you.
Been here all along.
So, why can't you see
You belong with me,
You belong with me.
Harry's belongs with me I think like I have my whole life. I continue to dance around my room.
Walk in the streets with you in your worn out jeans
I can't help thinking this is how it ought to be.
Laughing on a park bench thinking to myself,
"Hey, isn't this easy?"
His worn out jeans that he keeps our photo in. All the times we would sit at the park when we were young and our conversations were so easy.
And you've got a smile
That could light up this whole town.
I haven't seen it in a while
Since she brought you down.
Ever since Harry came back to Holmes Chapel, the small town has been better with him here.
Oh, I remember you driving to my house
In the middle of the night.
I'm the one who makes you laugh
When you know you're 'bout to cry.
I know your favorite songs,
And you tell me about your dreams.
Think I know where you belong,
Think I know it's with me.
Can't you see
That I'm the one
Who understands you?
Been here all along.
So, why can't you see
You belong with me.
I always know when Harry is about to break, and I have been with him all along, well except from our time apart, but the last few months I think have made up for it.
