Love in a Photograph

I finish my drawing off and place the pencil down on my desk in my room. I then hear a slight knock and I smile. "Hey roomy." Harry steps in my room. A lot has happened Harry was in the hospital with a few cuts and bruises but still has to take it very easy. Since his family abandon him Dad offered for Harry to live here at first I was skeptical about it, but giving it some deep though and over analysing it like I always do it will be a good thing. Harry can live in some what of a normal family having a sense of belonging and family will be good for him.

"You still need to give me that drawing lesson" he says and I join next to him on the bed. He is holding my teddy bear, yes my teddy bear I am an inner child.
"Maybe I can draw this little guy." He ruffles the bear, "Hey leave Bob alone" I snatch him out of his hands.
"Wow Bob the bear, original Hayls." Harry mocks me in a joking way.

"Harry, Hayley dinner." My dad yells out. Harry and I wash up in my bathroom and make our way to the dining room.
"Harry I was about to wash your jeans but lucky I didn't, here." My mum pulls out the photo and Harry puts it in his jean his wearing now pocket.
"Can you believe how much time has passed my baby is going to be twenty one in a couple weeks." My mum reminds me of my birthday again.
"Hayls why didn't you remind me, what you got planned." Harry cute nudges me. "Nothing really just a simple dinner with you guys I guess." I reply
"No that's boring" Harry continues. "Really I don't want to do anything." I really back.
"Come one Hayls." Harry nudges me again. "Can we just drop it please." I raise my voice a bit making my parents look at me. Thank god the door bell rings breaking the awkwardness. I stand up but Harry rushes over and gets there before me.

I return back to the table and proceed with my meal. I can hear chatter and wonder who it is. I hear Harry come back in. "Hey guys this is Steph." he introduces his girlfriend to us all, I hold back tears and that stupid emotion annoyance and play along with it. After Steph's introduction I follow her and Harry up the stairs. "So who are you?" she asks me, did this cow not get the introductions before. "I live here" this is the only response I can give her.

"Oh ok, well should i be worried with my boyfriend living with another girl." she turns to Harry. "Of course not babe" he kisses her cheek making me nearly vomit. I don't like this version of Harry he hasn't spoken to his girlfriend about me, I wonder does she know that I am his best friend.

"Well I'm going to take Steph out, do you want to join us Hayley." Harry kindly offers, me third wheeling really H. "Ah no thanks." I smile. "Ok I'll see you later Hayl's" He rubs my arm and goes off like the knight that he can easily portray. I return to my room and pick up Bob. "Just you and me buddy" I tell my toy bear.
