So we finish the rest of the song and it went faster than I thought. I mean, I always thought you'd sit 3 or 4 days writing one song. We had already one song in like 6 hours or so.

"I like it, writing songs. It's like giving everything a space. I still miss Luke of course, but I now know how to handle it a little." I say when read the song over again.
Mel nods her head.
"Let's stop for today and go out." I say while standing up.
"What?"
"Yeah, c'mon, it will be fun checking out the city."
"Ugh, fine." Mel says standing up too.

We dress ourselves a little up and then we walk to a club. It's 9 p.m.
We sit at a bar in the club and I order some Coke. I don't wanna get drunk tonight. Not now.
Mel goes to the restroom and I say that she needs to come back quickly. I don't like being alone in a new place where I don't know anybody.
A guy walks to me and says
"What does a beauty like you here alone?"
Ugh, he's definitely drunk.
I see some people laughing a little.
"I try to avoid assholes like you." I say turning around.
He pulls my hair aside and whispers in my ear.
"Why don't you give daddy a little pleasure?"
He shows me some money.
I take the money and say
"Sure sweetheart."
I stand up and slowly turn around to him. He laughs and looks around making sure that everybody notice. Just when he doesn't look I kick him in his balls and say innocently
"Do you want some more baby?"
Then Melissa comes back and I grab her hand and walk out of the club.
"What happened?" She asks when we're outside.
"I kicked someone in his balls."
"Nice beginning."
"let's just go Mel, I'm totally out of the party mood right now."
She nods her head and we walk back to the house. We put on some comfy clothes and jump on the couch. We watch some tv when a talk show begins.
"Demi, look, There they are!" She points at the tv.
"What?" I say looking up, I was checking my phone.
"The guys are on tv." She says still pointing in the direction from the tv.
We watch the whole interview and it was mostly about the tour, but also about me.
"I'm still a mystery girl." I smirk.
Mel laughs but then says serious.
"Why did you wanna do this?"
"I think it's because I don't wanna be someone's girlfriend. Of course I wanna be Luke's girlfriend, but I don't wanna be regonized only because I'm his girlfriend. I wanna be regonized because I'm Demi, not someone's girlfriend."
Mel nods her head and after the interview is finished we go to bed.

~the next morning~

"Mel wake up. Let's write another song!!!" I say jumping on her bed.
"What?"
"Nah, I'm kidding, but Michael called, so you need to call him back."
"Okay, will do. Just 5 more minutes." She says laying back.
"Okay, I'm going to run so I'm at the beach if you need me."
"Have fun!" She says.

I begin to run, clearing my head a little. I think about how everything turned out when I fall and someone catches me.
"I'm so sorry.." I say looking up caught me.
he's pretty cute if you ask me. He has short brown hair and blue eyes. He's also pretty muscled.
"It's okay and it's better than falling in the sand right?" He says.
"I'm Demi, I just moved here."
"I'm Theo. Would you like to run a little with me?"
"Sure."
We run and talk the whole time till we're back at my house.
"Would you like to come in for a minute and drink something?" I ask when we stand for my door.
"Sure." He smiles.
We walk in and Mel's on the couch watching tv.
"Demi, you're back! And who's this?" She asks walking to us.
"Mel this is Theo, Theo this is Mel, my best friend and homie.
"Hey I'm Mel."
"Theo."
I walk to the kitchen while they're siting at the bar.
"What would you like?" I ask to Theo.
"Some water is good enough." He replies.
"When did you met?" Mel asks.
"Oh, I bumped into him accidentally, so we ran together" I say while putting the glasses on the table. I take a sip from mine.
"So you guys just moved here?" He asks.
I nod my head and say
"Yup, we're from Holland."
"cool."
We talked for a little bit and then Theo went home.


Mel and I eat some things and after that we spend the rest of the afternoon in the recording room. We try out a lot of buttons but we still don't know which is which.
"We really need Dean." I sigh.
"Yup." Mel says.
"Let's stop for today." I say.

We go to bed early.


~at the end of the week~

Mel and I go to Marie's office. And as usual she greets us happily.
"Girls, how did it go?" She asks when we sit down.
"It went great! We wrote 2 or 3 songs and I love writing them." I say.
"That's great! Do you have them with you?"
"Yup wait here's the lyrics." I say giving her some papers.
"So we have a song named 'Good Girl' and one named 'changes'. This is great girls! You have talent." She says while she's reading the lyrics.
"With melody it will go better of course." I say.
"You also have a melody?"
"Yes, for both."
"Then you can start recording! Wait I'll call Dean immediately." She says grabbing the phone.
"Hey Dean, you need to come the ASAP, okay? Thank you, bye!"
"He's coming." She says while hanging up the phone again.
"Okay."

We wait for ten minutes and then Dean comes in.
"Dean, can you start recording with those girls tomorrow?" Marie asks him.
"Sure, I'll be at your house at 10 a.m. Okay?"
We nod our heads.
"Then that's settled."
Marie gives us the lyrics back and we can go.
"Bye girls!"
"Bye!"

We walk back home and I decide to phone Harry to check how it goes.
"Hey Harry, how are you holding up?" I ask when he picks up.
"Fine, I guess."
"You sound very down Harry. Is it still because of what happened to your parents?"
"yes, everywhere I go I get reminded of them." He says and I hear him sob a little.
"Well, you could come here, room enough and I'll pay the tickets. If you wanted to."
"Really?"
"Of course."
"Thanks Demi. I really don't know what I need to do without you."
"You don't need to do it without me. Now go and pack you stuff than I'll buy the next ticket this way."
"Okay, thank you so much. Bye!"
"Bye Haz."
I hang up the phone and buy a plane ticket.
I text him when he needs to leave and that his plane ticket will come in a few days.

After that I decided to take a swim in the pool. Just relaxing a little p, or I thought it would be relaxing. When I just close my eyes, Mel jumps into the water while screaming. I open my eyes and sigh.
When I see her laugh I need to laugh too. As little children we play in the water and scream at each other.
