Together Falling
M I L A
Grayson and I walked out of class together. Never would I have thought that I would be using the words ‘Grayson’ and ‘together’ in the same sentence nevertheless mention him as we are both the subject of the sentence, but I did. All throughout class, he was telling me corny and meaningless jokes and for the first time they didn’t have to do with anything sexually related. I’m not going to lie and say I didn’t laugh at them because I did. I couldn’t help it. His smile was so irresistible that it forced you to smile along. He was also telling me stories about how he broke his arm in the middle of his sophomore year. It might seem meaningless and petty, but I found it comforting how he opened up to me so easily. I got rid of the old thoughtless and self-centered Grayson and replaced him with the more friendly and timid version of him.
“So I was wondering if you would like to maybe spend some more time together tonight?” He looked unsure of what answer I was going to give and stuck his hands in his back pockets of the dark washed blue jeans.
“Do I have to dress up this time?” I asked playfully and he smiled greatly.
“No, but that would be a perk,” he said and I rolled my eyes. He must have enjoyed my dress thoroughly last night.
“Where to this time?” Wondering what other fantastic tricks he has pulled up his sleeve.
“It’s a surprise,” he said with such confidence. I narrowed my eyes at him and he did a short laugh. “If I tell you, I’ll ruin the whole plan,” He had me intrigued. I wondered what he was scheming up.
“What plan?” I asked teasingly as we stopped in front of my next class.
“My plan to win you.” I blushed and looked away but he ever so gently guided my face back to his and sneaked a kiss. He strangely made my heart relax rather than speed up. While his index finger was guiding my chin to stay intact with his lips, his other hand fell to my waist taking me in slightly as my hands landed on his chest moving perfectly in order with mine. He pulled away after what seemed like a lifetime and looked me in my eyes smiling. I could get use to doing this daily. “See you at lunch?”
“Yeah,” I smiled back. He gently kissed my cheek and walked away unable to see my cheeks, but knowing already the results of his actions.
I was falling for him…
