Okay, let me ask you a question. Have you ever made a decision you instantly regretted? Because I have.
I do not know what I was thinking; certainly I was out of my mind. Why would I want to go through this again? If not for my love of punishment, what then? There was no logical reason, yet here I sit. At my father’s lavish house in the most ridiculously stuck up community. If you thought growing up with a flighty, alcoholic mother who eventually died because of her addiction was tough—try living with your rich father who is attempting feebly at buying your love with outrageous gifts.
Yes, it is that bad. The only good thing I’ve noticed so far, (and I’ve been here for four months, I know you’re wondering,) is a nice distraction I met at college.
His name is Elliot and he is the definition of rebound attraction. I’m not saying he’s bad, because he is not. He’s perfect, which makes him even more perfect for the heartbreak I’m going to undoubtedly bestow upon him.
He is exactly the reason I’ve been able to ignore the calls and texts from Harry, the only one I’ve seen since everything went down is Lucy. She comes down almost every weekend to spend the night. She and Louis have been kind of on the outs since I left, so we’re both kind of in the same boat. Though, she’s not able to ignore Louis as well as I am ignoring Harry- oh and Niall. I had to cut them all off, cold turkey. I didn’t disclose everything that was going on to Christopher, I just gave him the bare minimum and he really hasn’t pestered me much, I think he’s just glad I’m here and desperately wants me to love him. He’s a stranger though, how can I just love someone I have just met?
I tell you what, I thought turning sixteen was bleak…I’d never even thought about how awful seventeen would prove to be.
