Perfect

As soon as dinner was finished, Liam and I began making our way to the carnival. Just before I left, Niall gave me a hug, then told me, "Have a good time sis. Don't downgrade yourself. He really likes you, and knowing how much you love the carnival, you both will have loads of fun. Okay?" I nod and hug him, then head out the door with Liam.

"It's just a couple blocks away. Would you like to walk?" Liam asks. I nod and give him a small smile. He tries to get me to talk, but I barely say anything the entire way there. I really wasn't good with boys; especially boys I had a huge crush on. Liam seemed to be enjoying my company though. We got to the fair, and the first thing Liam asks me is, "Can I buy you a ride bracelet?" I shrug.

"You don't have to..."

"It's no problem." I sigh.

"Alright," I say with a smile. He smiles back, satisfied. As soon as we both had bracelets, we begin making our way around the carnival.

"Is there anything you'd like to ride first in specific?" I shrug. "You're a bit indecisive, you know that?" He asks jokingly. I lightly giggle.

"Yeah, I've been told that." he chuckles. I notice a thing called the 'Hall of Illusion'. It looked like all you did was walk straight through, no twists and turns, and that was is. "How about that?" I ask.

"Sure." he says with smile. I take his hand, and we head into it. Little did I know, the Hall of Illusion was a bridge, about 20 ft long, and the illusion part of it? It's slowly spinning to the left. But wait, it's all in your head. The bridge is actually still, but as you walk across it, it makes it seem like the bridge is moving. Liam and I laugh, and scream, and run out of there. I was feeling dizzy when we exited the ride, and I felt like I was going to fall over. Liam steadied me, and I smiled at him.

"Thanks." He nods.

"No problem. What next?"

"Hmmm...." I replied, looking around. I saw several things I'd want to ride later on that night, but for now, I wanted to keep it simple. Nighttime was approaching, and quick. 5 was about the time the sun would set tonight. I noticed a scary ride. "Scare easy?" I ask. He smirks. I grab his hand and we go over the 'House of Horrors.' You sit, two people per seat, in a cart that brings you through a House of Horrors. We get strapped in, and the ride begins. It was fine at first, nothing scary at all, but as soon as a giant Werewolf jumped out, I screamed. I started shaking, and Liam put his arm around me for comfort. Things kept jumping out, scaring me. I thought I could handle it, but apparently not. The ride got over, and I was still scared. Liam pulled me away from the crowd and protectively pulled me close to him. He stroked my hair and I had to admit, I liked his hugs. They were strong, protective, loving, and in a way, passionate. He seemed to really care about me, and so far, I was showing nothing to say that I cared back. Well, that was all going to change.

I'd calmed down, then Liam suggested we walk around, and talk some more. To show that this was a date on my end, I grabbed his hand. He smiled at me, and interlocked his fingers with mine. I blushed and smiled. We approach a game stand, and I see a giant Teddy Bear. Liam could see in my eyes that I really wanted it, so he stopped us. "I can do this in one try." He says, letting go of my hand. I giggle and he takes the ball the carny hands him. The goal is to knock a pin down in one try, and you get a special prize. Liam positioned himself, aimed, then threw. The ball hit the pin! I cheered as the carny gave him the teddy bear.

"Here," he says, holding it out to me. I smile and take it.

"Thanks Liam. I love it." He smiles. We continue walking, and he takes his phone out.

"Hold on, mind if I take a picture?" I smile and nod. He snaps a picture with both of us, and smiles. "Cool. Thanks." I nod.

"No problem."

The date had been going so well, I hadn't even noticed the time. It was approaching 10 pm. I was getting hungry again as well. Liam must've noticed. "Hold on, I'll be right back." I smile and nod. After 5 minutes, Liam comes back, and he's holding two candied apples. He holds one out to me.

"Thank you, Mr. Payne." he chuckles.

"You're welcome, Miss Horan." I giggle, then we both take bites of our apples. As soon as we've finished them, it's about 10:30. We were both having so much fun, we really didn't care. I was cold around my neck a bit though, considering my jacket didn't zip up that far.

"Brr..." I mumbled.

"Huh?" Liam asks.

"Nothing....just a little cold around my neck."

"Why didn't you say so?" He stopped us, took off his scarf, and smiled as he put it on me. I smiled and thanked him. We grabbed hands again, then continued walking. "I've had a lot of fun with you tonight, Ally."

"Same here, Liam. I love coming to the carnival." He smiles.

"I do too. I'm glad we can agree on that. My past girlfriends have hated coming here.....mainly because they hate fast rides."

"Well, I'm not much of a fast ride person, but I can handle the Polar Express, and a bit of the tilt a whirl."

"Really?" I nod. He smirks and starts running, dragging me with him. We approach a ride, and until I really looked, and didn't know what it was. The Tilt A Whirl. Something I hadn't ridden since I was in Middle School. I took a deep breath.

"I....d-don't know about this Liam..."

"What's wrong?" he asks. I sigh.

"Nothing." I say, putting on a smile. "Let's do it." he smiles.

"Cool." We get on the ride, and get strapped in. The ride gets going, and for the first few minutes, we're laughing and having a good time. But the ride seems to go longer than expected, and Liam tries to smile, but I know what's happening. The same thing is happening with me. He's going to puke. The ride ends, and we both stumble off.

"I don't feel so good," I say. I throw my teddy bear out of the way, as the both of us hurl. When it's all out, we both laugh.

"Man, what a ride!" Liam says. I giggle and nod.

"Yeah. How about never again?" he nods. I pick my teddy bear up, and we decide to head home.
