The Way We Used To Be - ON HOLD-

“Maggie. You’re being completely unreasonable!” Scarlett said as I walked past her and towards my next class. I was not speaking to her, not since that ultimate set up. He thought he could buy me, how fucking daft.
“I didn’t know he was going to do that Mags, I promise!” She reasoned as she cut me off. “Please, I miss you.” I pursed my lips and looked at her finally.
“I told you I didn’t want to go Scar. I told you I wanted nothing to do with him, I don’t understand why you can’t just accept that.”
“People change Maggie, he wanted to apologize…I didn’t know he was going to try and buy you.” She said with a tilt of her head and puppy dog eyes.
“I don’t want to see him. Ever. Understood?” I said firmly.
“Absolutely, Harry who? Do not even know a Harry.” Scar said looking around.
“Harry Styles! Oh my god he was looking fine last night; I can’t believe you banged him Maggie.” Melanie said as she jumped into our conversation. I glared at her and Scar punched her in her arm.
“Ow! You fucking lesbian, why’d you do that?!” Mel had been calling Scarlett a lesbian for years now. She was convinced she was in love with me.
“You’re such a whore, do you even have a brain in here?” Scar said as she used her fist to knock against Mel’s skull.
“You want to fucking go right here? I’ve been looking for an excuse to kick your ass!” Mel yelled back.
I pushed Scar to the side and shook my head.
“Stop being so barbaric,” I looked at Mel. “and stop bringing up my past, I don’t talk about your past or the fact that you’re fucking both of my brothers, now do I?” I said without even thinking, I didn’t even check to see who was around.
“Oh my god! I fucking knew it!” Scarlett said, Mel was frozen and the color was draining from her face.
I turned around once I noticed Scar had abruptly stopped laughing.
“Oli…” I said as I watched my brother’s blank expression staring at Mel.
He just turned and didn’t say a work.
“Thanks a lot bitch!” Mel said before shoving me back into the lockers and running off after my brother.
“How long have you known?” Scar asked as she helped me get my balance.
“We caught them one night…” I said as I began walking again.
“We?” Scar said with an arched brow. Shit! Fuck shit fuck. I just keep on letting it all out.
“Har and I used to sneak down to the basement to make out at all of our sleepovers. We caught them when we were like 13 or so, I can’t remember.”
“You little slag, I can’t believe I didn’t catch on! Why was everyone but me snogging in the basement?!” She said loudly as she leaned her head back letting out a groan.
“Because you’re the only sane one in the group obviously. I better give Aiden a heads up.” I said as I pulled out my phone and clicked on his name.

He answered after a few rings, “Everything all right?” He asked
“No, I just ousted you to Oliver by accident, so prepare yourself.”
“How so?”
“I was saying something about how Mel is a slut and fucking both of you…”
“MAGGIE! Oh my god! What the fuck!?” He began yelling.
“Sorry!” I said before hanging up, I wasn’t going to listen to him yell at me.He’d get over it, hopefully.
“Let’s cut.” I said turning to look at Scar, I didn’t want to be in class and I was still ignoring Freddie.
“I’m down.” She said with a shrug and we turned to go out the nearest exit.

“I don’t want to go home either.” I said as we sat in a booth stuffing our face with chips. I was dreading it, my mom had called three times already. I knew it would be hell.
“Then don’t go home.” Scar said with a shrug.
“Why is everything so simple for you? How do you do it?” I asked, leaning forward.
“I just don’t care about much; you I care about. But not much else.” She said giving me a lopsided smile.
I sighed and sat back in the booth, then I heard him.
Harry.
The ladies behind the counter were oohing and aahing over him, I felt myself suppressing a scream. This day was shit.
I quickly stood up and turned to walk to the bathroom, once I’d made it to the small corridor that split to either loo I felt his hand on mine.
“Maggie…” He said softly.
“Are you following me?” I turned, pulling my hand from his harshly.
“Because I don’t want to see you!” I said as I pushed my hand against his chest. I wasn’t sure when I’d gotten so confrontational, but I was going all out today.
“No, I’m not following you. I worked here before, you’re in my turf.”
“You swept the floors, that barely makes this your turf.” I said with a roll of my eyes.
“Look, Maggie. You’re going to have to get over it eventually. I miss you, I know you miss me.” He said as he cornered me. I felt my stomach doing somersaults, fucking stop stomach!
“No. I don’t” I lied, I missed him all the time. The old him.
He placed his hand on cheek and I closed my eyes, I hated him, I hated the way he could so easily make me melt.
His lips were on mine so quick I didn’t even register it before my lips were parting for him to deepen the kiss. I was lost, so lost in him that I almost let myself fall again.
I quickly opened my eyes and lifted my knee quickly, hitting him right between the legs. He toppled over and grasped his crotch.
“Don’t ever fucking touch me again.” I said as I turned to walk out, throwing cash on the table as I looked down at Scarlett.
“I’m leaving.” I didn’t stop to wait for her, I just kept walking out the door. I had to take control of this situation, all of today’s situations.
I hate chaos.
