Nancy's P.O.V,

I opened the door and there my father was standing drunk as always and also very much furious. Oh God, tonight I am done.
It was very clear from his face that he was pissed off. And it was also very clear that he was drunk as always. Then he shouted angrily at me,
" From where are you coming. Can't you see its very late?"
"I am...sorry I went to a party with my friend"
"At least, you should have asked me"
"I told Adam to inform you"
" I said to ask not inform"
"I am eighteen years old dad and I am independent now"
"So what you are still living with my money"
"Not your money its mom's money dad"
"Are you drunk"
"Yes I am but not as you dad"
Then he raised his hand to beat me but Adam stopped him and told me to go to my room. I ran to my room while wiping the tears off my face that somehow fell without my knowledge. Why is he so mean?
Then someone knocked on the door and it was Adam. He sat beside me on the bed and then he signed and said,
" He has fallen asleep"
"hey don't cry it's ok. It's not your fault" and then he hugged me. And I asked,
"Where is mom?"
"Actually, mom and dad had a huge fight and she got so upset. Even though it's her house she knew dad won't leave in his drunk state and she said she would talk to him tomorrow morning. I think it's serious"
"Do you think they are gonna divorce"
"Maybe"
I nodded my head and then he said he has to go and said good night to me and then he went. I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and did all that stuff. After that, I changed into my nightdress.
Today was my first day of college and everything went well except the fight with my dad. He ruined my day. Suddenly my landline phone started ringing. I said,
"Hello"
"Hello it's me Harry...... are you alright your sound like you were crying earlier"
"Yeah I am ok I just had a fight with my dad"
"Oh"
"Hey. How did you get my number?"
"Daisy gave me. You know daisy thinks we are dating" He said with a laugh. I chuckled and
"Really?" I said,
"Yeah and listen you left your phone on the sofa and Smith told me to inform you"
"Smith! Aren't you and Zack enemy"
"Yeah, sure Zack must have told you. But I am enemy with everyone in Zack's group except Smith he is just friends with Zack because he blackmailed him"
"What happened between you guys"
"I really don't want to talk about it"
"Ok"
"Well I will give the phone to you tomorrow at the college"
"Sure"
"Bye see you tomorrow"
"Ok bye"
And then the call ended. He is really a nice guy. He made me happy instantly. I feel attracted towards him. Is this what you call love. But unfortunately, it was clear that he just wanted us to be friends. But Zack I don't think he is a bad guy as Daisy and Harry said before. He is really sweet and can't hide the fact that he is also very much flirtatious. And I also feel attracted towards him but not as much as Harry. And maybe he wanna date me. I don't know what will happen. But I am very happy that I got many friends on the first day of college. Then I fell asleep.
