Summer Sky | L.T.

The next morning I woke up to an empty bed, I immediately felt disappointed. I turned around and felt my muscles protest. It made me think back to last night, which was heavenly. The way he touched me, he was so tender and sweet. He made sure that I really wanted this and told me he would stop if I wanted to but I didn't want to stop, all I wanted was him.

I know at our highpoint we were one soul but that was hard to believe since he was gone and he didn't even left a note. I let my head fall back on my pillow and just stared at the ceiling before getting out. I didn't have to look to see I was naked as I didn't feel like putting something on before I fell asleep. I leaned over the bedside to grab a shirt and some underwear before getting out.

Of course at that moment the door opened and I literally fell out of bed. 'Shit.' I could catch myself before I hit my head. I know the blankets were all over my and now I was happy that I pulled a shirt over my head just in time. 'Are you okay sky?' When I heard Louis's voice I felt relieved because he didn't just walk away. I heard him put something on my nightstand before helping me untangle the sheets.

After a minute or so he pulled me up from the ground and sat me down on the bed. 'Why were you getting up in the first place?' He was chuckling at me and ruffled my already ruffled hair. 'I uhm, you know I uh just.' He stopped me 'You though I sneaked out didn't you?' I looked at my hands because now when I thought about it, it did sound a bit ridiculous because he wasn't like other guys. I shrugged and that's when he suddenly kissed me.

'Don't ever think I would do something like that to you and now lets have some breakfast.' I sat against my pillow and attacked it because boy was I hungry. 'Happy to see your appetite hasn't changed.' He said whilst watching me eat. I smiled at him 'I haven't changed that much.' He only smiled and after breakfast he got up. 'I need to go to work but I really want to talk to you tonight. He kissed me on my forehead before disappearing through the door.
I showered, knowing that I had to shower again after today, as the match was coming up. I immediately wondered if Louis was going to show up, that reminded me that I had to text Ashley.

"Yo Ash, you never guess what happened yesterday!"

It probably has something to do with Louis.. –Ash

"We uhm slept together."

YOU DID WHAT!? –Ash

"I'm not going to repeat myself."

My god finally!! So how are you feeling? –Ash

"I'm feeling amazing but also a bit confused about it all."

I bet you do, so what now? –Ash

"I don't know, he wants to talk to me tonight."

You have to let me know everything! –Ash

"I will, have to run now, bye!"

I walked downstairs and Marie was already waiting for me. "Bonjour Sky, did you sleep well?" She knew, you could just see it. "I slept really good, thanks." I ignored her smile and put the dishes into the sink and walked to grab my work out bag. "Marie, I'm off to get some warm up before the fight, I'm not sure if I will be eating at home or not." She nodded and wished me luck.

When I got to the gym there were already a lot of people to see Jamie and I, which was odd because I didn't even know he would ask so many people but then I really looked at them and saw that they were friends we made in the club we were dancing two night ago. I waved at them before entering the gym and I was greeted by a lot of people. "Sky, are you here for your warm up?" Jamie asked appearing behind me out of freaking nowhere.

"God Jamie did you really have to do that?" He chuckled and put his arm around my shoulder. "Sorry Sky, couldn't help myself" He kissed my cheek and walked away so I could put on my stuff. I began stretching with one of the trainers and after a few minutes the crowd was getting in and I was waiting in the locker room so I could get in the game. I know there would be people betting against me or not. I was counting to 100 when the door opened and Louis walked in.

"What are you doing here?" I asked sounding a bit rude. He pulled up his eyebrow but smiled. "I'm just here to wish you luck that's all." Lucian was probably doing the exact same the only difference was that Lucian was Jamie's boyfriend and Louis was, well I didn't really know what he was but I really appreciated the gesture.

"Thanks Louis but you really have to go know." I got up and hugged him before I walked out of the room and into the ring. Jamie was wearing a smirk on his face. I was taping my hands and put the boxing gloves over it before getting into the right position. I smiled back and put in my bit to protect my teeth. This was going to be something. Jamie was already dancing and was stopped by the referee. "I'm going to whip your ass." Jamie yelled and I know it was for show but I didn't care the only thing I did was put my middle finger in his face, this made the crowd laugh.

We shook hands and that's when the first round started. I let Jamie encircle me and I just kept my eyes on him studying his every move, when he tried to hit me the first time I blocked him easily. He didn't expect me to and was surprised that I did that. I know it was mu turn and now I was encircling him, he was getting a bit nervous because I was staying calm and when he looked down I grabbed my chance and hit him, he was too late to block it and he staggered back.

The first round was won by me, the second by him and the third was a bit more difficult, as I was getting tired and so was he. He had punches me good and I felt the bruise on my cheekbone. I just had to win and I wasn't giving him one inch and when he swung his fist at me I took a step to the side making him fall down and he didn't get up, which made me the winner. "Sky Evens wins" He grabbed my arm and put it up making me winch as my arm was really aching. Jamie on the other hand had turned around and was now lying on his back catching his breath.

"Are you okay?" I asked after the referee had let go of my arm. He nodded "Of course I am, congratulations Sky." I smiled at him and helped him up. Lucian was already waiting for him and I got out of the ring and immediately walked into the locker room because I really needed a shower.

I was happy that no one disturbed me, although I had expected that Louis would come by to check on me, he didn't though, which probably meant he was back at work. I checked the time when I got dressed and was happy to see it was almost dinnertime because I was starving and I really needed my aunt to fix me up.

I got congratulated and they gave me money for the win and I was surprised to see how much I had won. "Sky, I have to give you something before you go home." Lucian yelled through the crowd. He ran up to me and grabbed my face carefully between his hands and pressed a kiss on my cheek. "Louis told me to do that but I refused to kiss you on the lips. I mean you're my niece for crying out loud. Oh and before I forget, he told me to tell you he would be waiting at your spot." I nodded, as I knew exactly where that was.

"Alright give Jamie a hug for me, I have to go home." He nodded and disappeared into the crowd again. I quickly got outside and went home, Marie was already waiting for me with her first aid box, it was quite a funny sight to see. I walked over to her and she made me sit down immediately. "Why do you fight Sky?" I shrugged "I just like it I guess."

When she was done, she told me to get some rest and don't mind if I do because I was exhausted. I walked into my room and was stunned when I saw the flowers. There were sunflowers petals all over my bed and a note in the middle.

"Don't worry this time it is me who did this. Congratulations with your win now go sleep. I will see you around 9pm' xx Louis"

I smiled at that because he remembered how afraid I was when I found out who send those flowers last year. I grabbed a bowl and swept them into that bowl. The scent was delicious so I put the bowl on my nightstand. I set my alarm at 8pm and fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow.

I actually smashed my alarm when it went off. I really didn't want to get out of bed because I was much to comfy but if I wanted to find out what Louis was going to say to me I didn't have a choice. I walked to my closet and pulled out my black high waist shorts and a white see through crop top. I didn't put on any shoes, as that was mute. I mean I only had to walk over grass to get there. I let my hair fall loose and I was happy to see that they were already a bit wavy. I didn't put on any make-up because it was dark outside so there really was no reason to put any on. I walked downstairs and was surprised to find Marie, Rose and Jean at the kitchen table. "Hey what are you guys doing here?" They just smiled and Jean gave me a letter.

"You have to read this first before you make your way to him, we will give you some privacy." They all got up and walked away, leaving me with the letter. Now I got nervous, why would Louis go through all this trouble? I sat down and opened the letter with trembling hands.

"Dear Sky,

You probably didn't expect me to write you a letter and you are right because normally I wouldn't do something like this but I guess I though I owed you one, as you have been writing me letters and leaving messaged on my voicemail. I never responded to them and I still owe you an explanation for that.

You see the reason I didn't respond to your first two voicemails was because I was heavily sedated because when I got back here without you. I didn't have a reason to stay sober anymore. I did listen to your messages though and you can't imagine how I felt when I heard that you made sure Mike was locked up, I was so proud of you. I stayed sober for 2 straight days after that message but I just couldn't do it, so I went back to England and stayed with my mom but soon I fell back into the drugs world and well you know the rest.

I'm not proud of the things I have done but after your letter in Doncaster I was scared to lose you again, not that I had you then but just the mere thought to lose you was numbing me and that's when I decided to confront you but I was so hung up on drugs that I at least took a few pills and that led to an overdose again you saved me even if I treated you like you were nothing more then trash. Ashley told me all about it and when she told me why you didn't want to see me again I knew I had to change but I will tell about that some other day.

So Sky love I want to thank you for saving my life not once, twice but three times and now please get your but out of here.

I put the letter on the table and almost ran to Louis. He was already waiting but I skidded to a halt when I saw what he had done. He had put burning torches on the cliff and the way it set made it look even more beautiful. "You wrote me a letter." Was all I could manage and he just smiled "I thought you would like that." I nodded slowly because I did like that even if there wasn't anything in it that I didn't already know but it's the thought that counts.

''I loved it" I walked to his outstretched arms and when I was close enough he wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly. "So what's this all about?" I walked me to a chair with was facing the side of the cliff, this way I could look at him and enjoy the view at the same time.

"So I want to tell you something but I need you to be quiet until I'm finished okay?" My hands were sweating again and I was really nervous to hear him out. "I promise but slightly under protest." He smiled and caressed my cheek.

"From the moment I left you in America my life went to shit and I know that was my own fault but I always blamed you for not even giving me a choice and for not getting me back. I know why you couldn't come but I was selfish because you were the only reason I was staying clean so when I got home I did everything to get my next fix and I was a mess and even when I listened to your messages I wasn't changing my ways.

My dad finally got fed up with me and sends me back to my mom under the cover that I was taking care of her. I didn't and when I got back to Doncaster I got dragged back in but this time I was seeking the company of well you know as you have seen it in that club. The minute that I recognized you in that god awful club, I just didn't know what to do except for getting you out of there and I know I treated you badly and I couldn't blame you but when I saw you laughing an flirting with that guy, I lost it because in my eyes you were still mine. So I freaked out when he kissed you but felt happy when you pushed him away but when I found you so sick you couldn't even stand on your own legs, I forgot about my anger and took care of you.

Then the next morning you were gone and the only thing you left was a note. I should have never followed you that day but I still did and thanks to all the drugs I took I couldn't see straight and I lost it and almost did the same thing that Mike did, I really hope you can forgive me for that someday.

When I woke up the next day in the hospital I asked for you but my dad told me that you didn't want to see me and that's when I really lost it eventually I got your friend Ashley on the phone and she told me that you didn't want to see me as long as I wasn't sober, so that what I did. I went to a clinic and got sober. That road wasn't easy and I have wished for death to come and get me but he never did and eventually I got better and I just wanted to hear your voice so I called you and when you answered I was afraid to say something.

But you sounded so confused and angry, you even hang up the phone and believe me I got the message so I didn't call you again and just waited. A few months later I arrive at my dads and hear a female voice in the middle of the night and when I saw you my world stopped because this was the change I was waiting for. I sneaked into the house when I knew for certain you would be asleep and changed your clothes and opened the window because I know you preferred that but I didn't want to let you know I was there just yet but then you walked into the tattoo shop. You can't imagine what went through my head when I saw you staring at the wall.

You think you had a hard time when you saw me, you have no idea how I felt when I was giving you the tattoo. I missed the way you smelled after a long run and I missed the way your hands start to tremble when I touch you and I even miss the snoring you do. Every emotion came back and then I almost kissed you before you ran away. That was something I had never experienced and when I saw you in your room I just couldn't ignore it anymore, that night was like a dream so thank you for giving my life a purpose."

He kissed me softly on the lips and I just sat there processing it all. "You know I have forgiven you a long time ago for that day." I smiled at him and want to stand up but he stopped me.
"I'm not quite ready yet." I was beginning to get curious by now. I looked behind him and realized that I was looking at the cliff, our cliff. I turned my attention to him again when he suddenly kneeled down in front of me.

"Sky, remember when you said that if we were made for each other we would find a way back and I think we have done that. I think this was faiths plan and I know we have a long way too go but you are my world that has never changed from the moment I met you. I love you and I know you love me even if you have never really said it out loud." I opened my mouth to say that I indeed love him but he shushed me.

"I just want to spend my life with you but I do understand if you say no but at least I asked you." He took a deep breath before continuing.

"Skylar Evens, will you please spend the rest of your life with me?"
