Sky
I walked back from church, the reason I went there was to arrange the funeral. I didn't want everyone to attend, especially certain people. I walked the familiar path home, which meant I had to walk past the house of Mike and Lindsey, I was praying that nobody would be home but I wasn't having any luck lately. "Sky?" I heard Mike's mom yell and my instinct was to run away but I stopped and turned. "Mrs Smith" I said and I thought that was good enough but she came walking to me, with a great speed, she also didn't look really friendly.
"Why did you have to ruin my son's life?" she really said that right? Ruining her son's life, that really sounded weird in my ears. "I ruined your son's life?" I asked astounded and she nodded furiously. "Thanks to you and your lies, he is now in jail." She had her hands placed firmly on her waist and normally I would shrink when she would do that because I always felt a bit afraid of her but today everything was different.
''If someone has ruined anyone's life, it would be Mike ruining my life! Do you know what he did to me?!" I was beyond angry and the way she was looking at me made me only feel angrier. "You just made that up because he broke up with you." I let out a hard laugh. "Yes, that's why I lied about him raping me, it was purely out of revenge." I walked around her but she grabbed my arm. "Let go of me!" I tried to pull my arm free but she was like a constrictor. "How dare you use that tone with me missy!" She was so out of line that I really wanted to punch her in the face.
"I'm not sure what you are trying here but my dad just DIED thanks to one of your family member and don't you lie about that because I know that one of your sons owns a truck, yeah I know. So if I were you and if you don't want to loose another son I would leave me the hell alone!" I was visibly shaking by now.
She let go of my arms and I finally could walk away. I had to shake this off because she was just a mom who was in pain because of her son. Every mom would defend their child till the end even if he was guilty. It did bother me though that she yelled at me like that but only because the timing was really lousy. She couldn't have waited till after the funeral. That made me think of what I still had to do before it was time to bring my dad to his final resting place.
I wasn't sure what Marie had done so I had to discuss everything with her. She was a real trouper through all this, she didn't even punish me for 2 night ago. I still couldn't remember much but apparently I got trashed and I absolutely loved the drugs they were giving me. I did see the plus side to it but it really didn't outweighed the bad side. Like getting addicted, losing reality, dying, it was definitely not something I would do again. Not that it was my fault to begin with but I didn't stop it either. "stupid" I mumbled under my breath, without noticing it I was already at my own front door. Marie was cooking dinner if I smelled it correctly.
"Sky, is that you dear?" Marie called from the kitchen. I walked into the kitchen and jump on the counter top and just sat there watching her cook. "It smells wonderful."
"I love cooking but I don't really have the time for it when I'm home." She shrugged and continued. After a few minutes it was done. "Will you get Louis, please?" I nodded and jumped off the counter again. I had a feeling I knew exactly where I could find him, as I made my way to the small room where I had spend so much time with my dad before everything went to hell.
I opened the door and was touched when I saw him sleeping in my dads chair. He looked really tired so I just stared at him for a few minutes. Dinner wasn't served yet so I had some time to just enjoy my time with him. For some reason I was really glad that I changed so much the past year because if I hadn't I would probably never had met Louis and he was my own secret sun. Yes I know that really sounds cheesy but he is. He brightens up my day when I'm feeling sad and we all know that I have a huge thundercloud above my head.
He just makes the clouds lighter, light enough to let in some sunshine. I just really like him and the fact that he was here with me to support me, meant everything to me but I wasn't sure if I would return with him to France because this was my home even with all the bad stuff that had happened to me. I had 5 days to figure out what I wanted to do and I guess it all depends on him. I think he has to give me a reason to come back with him.
I know, I know, we are together but is that because we both are a bit depressed or is it because we actually are meant to be together and this is just faiths way to let us know? I really should let him know my feelings but the thought of getting hurt was just something I didn't want to put myself through and I hadn't forget what he said to me during our night out or the way he holds me when I need it but this could also be a friend who is doing that. It was just all really confusing and I just didn't know what to think and if I am totally honest I'm also a mess right now, so it's probably better if I just didn't say anything about that stuff.
"Sky, hurry up Cheri!" Marie yelled, I sighed softly as I walked towards Louis. I didn't want to freak him out so I put my hand gently on his face. It still made him jump. He opened his eyes and I smiled when I saw his blue eyes look up at me.
"I'm sorry to wake you but dinner is ready." I said to him as he leaned into my touch. He smiled before getting up. "I didn't realize I had fallen asleep." He stretched before grabbing my hand and pulling me with him, at some point he stopped and turned around so he was facing me. He came a bit closer and but his hand in my hair and kissed me softly on my lips and I know this wasn't the right time but I couldn't help but melt into that kiss.
He softly bit my lower lip to gain access and I went for it, giving him access. He touched my tongue and that's when I forgot the world around us for a second, we already had kissed like this but never under these circumstances. He moaned softly when I tugged softly at his hair, making him do exactly the same to me but that only made me giggle, as he was doing it out reflex. His hands were traveling up and when he touched the side of my breasts I couldn't stifle back the moan, which made him smile.
"LOUIS, SKY GET DOWN HERE NOW!" Marie was actually yelling at us, which made us let go of each other immediately. We were breathing really hard, it looked like we had been running at least 4 miles. This send us into a fit of laughter, whilst walking downstairs. "Thank you for gracing us with your presence." Lucian sarcastically stated and it made us scowl at him whilst taking a seat at the table. Marie had put everything on the table and we were just about to dig in when someone knocked on the door. Marie was already standing up but I stopped her. "I will open the door, as it is my house." I said quickly not trying to sound mean or anything.
I had an inkling about who it could be and I wasn't happy about it because that would mean that I had to take care of things even faster. I opened the door and there stood Mike's brother and he looked absolutely pissed off. "How dare you!?" was the only thing he said, this time I wasn't backing down because he didn't scare me at all. "How dare I what Jason?" I asked innocently and that seemed to piss him off even more. "I know you are accusing me for killing your dad." I kept my mouth shut for a few seconds, driving him insane. "Didn't you then?" I was acting like a smart ass and I know that wasn't the best thing to do right now but I couldn't help myself.
I mean how dare he, showing up like that. "You better not act like a smart ass now because I have stuff that can ruin you for life." So he had the tapes, good to know. "There is nothing that can ruin my life, not even those tapes. All people will see is a bunch of guys raping an innocent girl." I said angry.
"You wanted it Sky, you even begged us to." He said near my ear, so nobody else could hear it, little did he know that I had expected him to show up. I had dialled the police station beforehand and they could hear every word he was saying. "Thank you for telling me, you were one of the guys." That did shut him up for a few seconds. I know Louis was near because I could feel him but he didn't appear, which meant he was listening to every word Jason was saying.
"You better keep your mouth shut because you never know what I will hit with my truck next, Sky." He said through clenched teeth and I just smiled because now I had the son of a bitch. "Dumb ass." Was all I said before slamming the door into his face. "THIS ISN'T OVER YET SKY, MARK MY WORDS!" He yelled through the door. "Yeah, good luck with that" I mumbled after hanging up on the police. "Sky, who was that?" Louis had come out of the shadows and stopped in front of me. "That was Jason, Mike's brother." His eyes got a bit bigger and he looked angry for a second. "Hey look it's okay, I just had to do something and after I run into Mike's mother I had expected him to show up."
"Wait you bumped into Mike's mother? What did she say?" He fired those questions at me and I had to smile at that because he only did out of worry that she maybe had done something to upset me, which was true because she did hurt me but it did give me an idea. "She said things I could expect but that isn't important right now, what is more important, Jason just confessed he murdered my dad and that he was one of the guys who uhm, you know raped me." I still couldn't really talk about that night, luckily for me Louis understood that.
"Okay, so he confessed but only to you." I shook my head and grabbed my phone to show him the last number I had called. When he recognised the number on the phone, he lifted me in his arms and spinned me around. "You beautiful smart woman." He kissed me quickly before putting me down again. "I know for sure that he will be arrested this moment, this does make things a bit more complicated though." I had hoped to postpone this conversation with him but it seemed inevitable. "What do you mean?" Right at that moment my stomach growled at me. "We will discuss this later okay, I'm really hungry." I glanced suspiciously at me before letting me pass him. "Is everything okay Sky?" Marie asked and I smiled at her because it was going to be okay at last.
"Yes I'm okay Marie, thank you."
