Louis

I felt her walking away. I had been holding my breath when I finally heard her thanking me and when she kissed me on my forehead it took everything in me not to open my eyes because I know that would've ruined the moment. When she left I opened my eyes and just stared at the sky. Never had I expected to feel the way I was feeling right now.
My heart was pounding in my chest and I know I was falling hard for that girl and I know she was feeling the same way about me. She wouldn't admit it anytime soon but she did like me just as much as I liked her. There was only one option and that was to give her as much space as possible but keeping close as well so she couldn't avoid me. I did need a plan though because there was no way that she was going to forgive me for the way she found me in Mike's apartment.
I mean I made her lose faith as she threw it in my face earlier. "I had betrayed her" and I did. I should've resisted that drugs but the only reason I took it was because I was angry with her for turning me down. How pathetic right? I mean I'm an adult, so I should act like one and she maybe didn't want protection but she clearly needed it. Instead of doing that I went to the girl who had made her life a living hell and made out with her. I know Lindsey told her we had sex even though I'm 100% sure we didn't because since that accident back home I hadn't have sex with any girl.
But I could never forget the look she had on her face when she found me sitting on the ground, all-high without clothes. It was a real eye-opener. She didn't yell at me once when we drove back, she just gave me the silent treatment and it was a real shock when I saw her the next day beaten up and that's when I figured it out. She had been trying to deal with her pain and by doing that, she had to make herself hurt in a way in which she forgot her mental pain.
When I realized that, I immediately talked to Lucian about what we should do because he was just as shocked as me, when he saw her. 'Louis, are you here?' I heard Lucian ask from behind the bushes. 'Yeah, I'm here.' I answered back. Lucian got down next to me 'How did it go at the shrink, you didn't tell her it was my idea right?' I shook my head. 'No I didn't, she doesn't have to know that, I'd rather have her angry at me, so don't worry about it.' We stared at the sky together 'I'm happy that she has you.' I heard him mumble, what he didn't know was that she didn't want me anywhere near her right now, because I made her talk to a shrink in the first place.
'Yeah, I have to go.' I got up and walked to my house, stopping under her window, to see if she let her window open. She didn't though and it made my heart heavy because I had to have a lot of patience here, good thing that this summer wasn't over yet. I had time to win her back. The first thing I was going to do was get in shape because I almost died running after her earlier, man she runs fast.
I walked to my room and pulled the shirt over my head and just let myself fall on bed. I hadn't used drugs in 2 days by now and I was actually quite proud of it, thanks to my shrink I now saw how destructive I was. I had to stop running from my problems and that's why I got angry when she threw that at my feet, because she was right. I had to deal with the guilt I was feeling instead of taking refugee in drugs. That's also why I like her, she just tells me the truth even if it's something I don't want to hear.
The next morning came way to early but I did made a vow to get in shape, so I went for a run over the beach now that nobody was up yet. It was really peaceful, after 6 miles running I sat down at one f the benches, I did recognize the place though it was the bonfire place. I didn't have many memories of it but I did had some and I was really ashamed if I thought about it.
I remember Sky, helping me and I know she performed CPR on me even while I had vomit all over my body. I still don't get why she helped me because I was far gone by then but she didn't gave up once. Still I let her down over and over again. I got up sighing because I really needed to let it go and thank her properly for saving my life. Maybe I should buy her something a necklace or something like that.
I ran to one of the jewellery's and waited for it to open. Luckily with the tourist season it did open earlier so I didn't have to wait really long. I walked in as soon as they opened the door. I looked around to find something special when a necklace grabbed my attention. It was a rose gold necklace with a diamante clover as pendant, it looked beautiful. 'Can I help you sir?' The clerk asked me and I only pointed. He looked at me as if I was crazy. 'This is over €3.000,- are you sure?' he asked me and I was a bit offended by this because how dare he judge me only on what I was wearing.
'Yes I'm sure and will you please rap it, as it is a present.' I used my cocky tone and even pulled up my eyebrow. He grabbed the necklace and rapped it nicely and handed it over. I paid without blinking but couldn't stop myself 'You know it's really rude to assume people can't afford stuff just because they were workout clothes and next time this happens I will make an official complaint.' With that I left the store. I had to hurry up and deliver this to Sky before she woke up. She didn't like to get out of bed to early and I knew this because when I woke her up that time she was actually groggy about it.
I walked into the backdoor, her aunt never locked that door, which was a good thing now but I should really talk to her about it. You never know what for sketchy figures are sneaking around, waiting for an opportunity to rob someone. 'Louis, is that you?' Marie was already in the kitchen baking croissants. 'Yeah it's me, I'm sorry for walking in like that.' She smiled when she saw me. 'That's fine, you are always welcome, are you here for Sky?' I nodded and she handed over a tray full of delicious food. 'Will you give this to her, when you wake her up?' I wasn't planning on waking her but I wasn't telling her this. I went upstairs and walked into her room.
There she was in a deep sleep. She had rosy cheeks and she kicked off her blanket, which gave me a look at her long legs and underwear. If she knew that I could see her underwear she probably would throw a pillow to my head, it made me chuckle quietly. I put down the breakfast tray and put the box with the necklace next to her croissant. She looked peaceful and beautiful in the morning light. I gently stroked her face and left. I know she had to wake up from my touch and just to be sure I stayed and watched her and as I suspected she did wake up. She touched her face and turned her face towards the breakfast tray eying the box but she didn't touch it as she first munched her breakfast and to be honest I didn't expect anything less from her, she loved to eat.
After breakfast she took the box and opened it. Her face fell when she saw what was in it. She quickly looked around to see if no one was in her room I quickly pressed my back into the wall so she wouldn't see me. I had to walk away but I really did want to see if she liked it. I peeked around the corner and saw that she was holding up the necklace and the look on her face was a happy look. 'Thank you Louis.' She said out of the blue. I didn't even realize that she was looking at me with a genuine smile.
'Are you hungry?' She patted on her bed and I didn't have to think twice and quickly sat down on her bed. 'Can you help me put it on?' she turned her back to me and gave me the necklace. I put it around her neck and clasped it. 'How does it look?' she asked a bit shy, I had never seen her like this. 'It looks really beautiful.' I smiled at her as I stole one of her croissants.
'Why did you get me this?' she asked after a while. 'Too apologize properly, I guess for you know saving my life.' She looked at me with a surprised look in her eyes and it made me smile. 'You were right yesterday, I didn't thank you and I now know it has been bothering you a lot, so I thought this would make it alright again.' I explained her. 'You don't have to buy me stuff just to apologize, a simple sorry would suffice.'
'I could return the necklace you know.' She shoved my arm when I said that. 'That's not necessary.' We just looked at each other when I suddenly realized that I was covered in sweat. I jumped of the bed, tripping over my own feet, which made me fall flat on my face. 'shit' I got up rather quickly and bolted out of her room. I still heard her laugh following me. 'Louis are you okay?' she yelled after me but I just needed to get out of there before I would kiss her because that laugh sounded like a melody in my ears and I did see the fun in me falling flat faced on the ground.
I walked into the house and wasn't surprised to see my father waiting for me. 'Where have you been?' I guess I deserved that. 'I was out running and paid Sky a visit. I bought her a present for saving my life.' I explained and that's when a proud smile appeared on his face. 'I'm proud of you son, the way you are getting your life back on track.' He gave me a pat on the shoulder. I scurried passed him and went straight into the shower. I started thinking about Mike and the way he still didn't pay for what he did to Sky, there had to be a way to make him pay for it. I just needed a plan and I needed some help. I called Lucian straight away after the shower to explain it to him. 'I know, you don't want to get in trouble Lucian but he has to pay for what he did to her, don't you think?'
He kept protesting but in the end he agreed to help me set up some sort of plan. 'Alright I will talk to you later, what time does she go to Jamie? Around 3pm, okay, I will be at your place when she leaves. And Lucian, she can't know about this!' After that talk I had to come up with a plan, that didn't break the law. I actually just wanted to kill the guy but I couldn't do that, so there had to be something else.
That's when it hit me. He must have a lot of prove against more girls, what if we tipped of the police. They had to investigate it right? I couldn't wait till 3pm but I had to because if she knew what I was planning, she would never forgive me even if this was the only way. Mike belonged in jail and this was the only way that was possible.
