The Guardian and the Miscreant
Prolougue: Ophelia
See, the thing is I'm not really good at these....
And by these I mean introducing myself.
I guess I should start off by telling you my name. I'm Ophelia Brennan. And I bet you're thinking, "Oh, wow her parents put a lot of thought into her name, its so pretty!". Yeah, well news flash. That's not the story. First off, if you think that copying a name from of the play "Hamlet" is putting a lot of thought into something, then you thought wrong. Second, sure it may be pretty, but the meaning behind it isn't. Ophelia was the name of the girl that fell in love with a guy that didn't love her and then she died, cool right? Oh, and it also means help. So I guess you could call me an accident waiting to happen.
Enough of me rambling on about the glamourous meaning of my name though. I'm 19 years old, and I'm fresh out of my senior year at high school. I live in Hampton, a pretty small town in South Carolina. Next week I'm starting my first day of college at Citadel College, about 65 miles away from home. I plan to major in Literature and get a Master's Degree. I wanna be an author, or maybe a script writer.
I also have a best friend named Xandra. Her real name is Alexandra but she never goes by that. Her parents don't even use her real name anymore. We've been attatched by the hip since 3rd grade. I had just moved and she seemed to take a liking to me. She's probably the most gorgeous person I know.
Well, I hope this helped out. See you on the flip side.
