The Great Confrontation
Alex’s POV
I’d almost forgot that Perrie and Danielle were out with us until we were walking around aimlessly. Liam and Danielle were holding hands while Perrie was trying to flirt with Zayn. Louis had his arm around my shoulders when we got to the bottom of the Eiffel tower.
“Whoa” I breathed out in awe.
“It’s so pretty.” Louis was kind of drunk so he was a little wobbly while he looked up at it.
I nodded and felt Zayn bump me. When I looked at him, he was glaring at a very drunk Perrie who was trying to hang all over him. I shook my head and looked at Louis as he let go of me and sat on the ground.
“Louis, get up.” I laughed looking into his blue eyes.
“But it’s even prettier from here.” He made me laugh.
“Fine.” I shook my head and looked over at Harry who was taking a picture of Niall in front of it.
“Princess, come here!” Niall yelled to me.
“I’ll be right back boo.” I looked down at Louis and saw him nod before I walked over to Niall.
“I want to take a picture with you.” He smiled wrapping his arm around my waist.
“Okay.” I giggled leaning in so our sides were touching.
We changed poses while Harry took pictures of us. Niall was tickling me and making funny jokes so I was laughing the whole time. When we were done, everyone was standing around Harry.
“Is it picture time?” Niall asked pointing to the group.
“Yup.” Liam smiled walking to where we were for pictures.
Harry kept taking pictures for them while we all laughed and talked about stupid stuff. Niall still had his arm around me while we were talking to everyone. I saw Zayn looking at me with a jealous look in his eyes.
I guess I should talk to him before anything happens. He’s gonna be so mad at me…
Niall looked down at me while I moved out from underneath his arm. I walked over to Zayn and Perrie who were at the other end of the group, he looked annoyed and I couldn’t tell if it was because of me or Perrie.
“Hey Zayn, can we talk?” I asked shyly.
“Sure.” He led us away from everyone so we were alone. “What’s up?”
“I need to talk to you about something…” I took a deep breath and looked into his eyes. “This cant go anywhere. I know that we’ve been flirting and everything but I just realized that I have feelings for someone else and I don’t want to hurt you.”
“It’s Louis huh?” He looked a little hurt.
“Yea.” I mumbled looking away. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay. I understand, you guys have been friends for so long I should have seen it coming.” He touched my waist, making my eyes shoot up to his. “Thank you for telling me.”
“You're welcome.” I smiled and moved in for a hug.
I buried my face in his chest while our arms wrapped around each other. He kissed my forehead before letting me go. We walked back to the group and noticed them looking at us.
“What?” We both asked.
“What’s up with you two?” Niall finally asked after awkward silence.
“Absolutely nothing.” Zayn answered.
“Really, we’re just friends.” I knew they didn't believe us.
“You must think we’re stupid.” Perrie laughed.
“We aren’t even lying.” I was tired of her so I didn't hide my attitude, I was done being nice.
“They aren’t lying. I know what’s going on.” Harry stood up for us.
“Whatever, I still don’t like you.” She rolled her eyes.
“And I still don’t care.” I looked straight at her while Zayn stepped back a little bit. “I haven't done anything for you not to like me so go ahead and not like me. Your opinion doesn’t matter to me.” I walked away to stand next to Louis.
“Why do you dislike her? Since I met her, she’s been nothing but nice to you and you’ve just been mean.” Harry asked as he slipped his phone into his front pocket.
“She’s a whore. She’s trying to get with Zayn and he’s off limits because we’re together and she knows that.” Perrie was too drunk for her own good.
“We aren’t together Perrie. You know all of this is just for publicity. I cant stand you.” I guess Zayn was done too. “I’m sorry I know it’s mean but I’m tired of you being rude.”
Perrie looked really upset, like she really believed they were together. She looked at me with tears in her eyes and then walked away. Everyone looked at me and then at Zayn.
“Are you okay?” I asked Zayn.
“I don’t know.” His voice was shaky so I turned to Harry because he was the only sober person.
“You take care of him and I’ll go deal with her.” I looked into his eyes and saw him get confused.
“But she doesn’t like you.”
“I know but I think she just needs someone to be there for her. Just take care of him.” I turned around and walked in the direction she went.
I walked for what seemed like forever and finally found her. She was sitting on a bench on the other side of the Eiffel tower. I could tell she was crying when I sat down. She looked at me, sighed and looked away.
“I know you don’t like me but I’m here for you.” I moved a little closer to her. “Just put aside your issues with me and say something.”
“I don’t even dislike you, I was just jealous of you. You have all of them falling for you and you don’t even see it.” She looked at me with tears running down her cheeks. “All of them besides Liam want to be with you and all you want is Zayn, the one guy that I actually like.”
“I don’t want Zayn. I thought I did, but I don’t. Perrie, you just have to calm down a little bit. I know you really like him but you're a little overbearing sometimes.” I touched her hand that was sitting in her lap. “I’m sorry for being rude to you earlier.”
“I’m sorry too.” She looked into my eyes. “Can you help me with Zayn? I really want a chance with him.”
“I can help you but I’m not promising that it will work.” She smiled as I said it.
“Thank you.” She stood up and gestured for me to stand up too. “You are really nice.” She pulled me in for a hug.
“You're welcome.” I mumbled hugging her back.
