End Of The Day

I started my new job today, my new life in England. The job is perfect, I love everything about it. Although I’m a little homesick for America, I find myself truly embracing England.
As I drive home, I’m quite excited. Louis says he has something special planned for me.
I walk in the front door, but there’s no sign of Louis. I yell for him.

“I’m in the bedroom, Love.”
I grin. Sounds promising.
Louis greets me at the bedroom door with a single red rose.
“Thank you.” I kiss him, and just when I think it’s going to lead to something else, he says. “Tell me all about your day.”
As I follow him to sit beside him on the edge of the bed, I notice all the candles. Obviously Louis has plans for us, but the fact that he wants to hear about my day first means everything to me.
He listens intently as I excitedly share every moment of my day.
“Sounds like you really love this job. I’m so happy for you, Lea.”
I touch the side of his face. “You know what else I love?”
We kiss, and I pull on his bottom lip with my teeth.
“You, I love you, Louis. And I want you.”
He swallows hard, biting his lip. I get up from the bed. He watches as I slowly undress, the candlelight dancing over my skin. My breath catches as he stands to undress as well, then leading me to the bed.
Louis kisses me, softly at first. He links fingers with mine as the kiss deepens.

Louis makes love to me. He is generous, selfless and sweet. He has followed through on his promise. Everyday, he proves to me how much he loves me.
“When we are together like this, Lea, I get lost in you. And only then can I admit that deep down in me is a little boy with scars, who has locked so much away. No one has ever unlocked him, until you.”
My heart flutters, like it has on so many occasions with Louis. “I love you, Tommo, with every part of me.”
Louis pulls me into his arms. We lie skin to skin.
“I love you, Lea. More and more everyday.”
Taking Louis’ hand, I entwine my fingers with his.
“I used to wonder, Louis, if I could have you and my career. Did I really have room in my life for both?” I pause.
“I’ve come to realize, at the end of the day, if I don’t have you by my side, nothing else matters.”
