End Of The Day

“Lea, they just arrived!”
“Seriously? Are you finished with my hair?”
“One more minute.”
“Tracy? Do you have my notes?”
“Yes Lea, right here Sweetie. Calm down, you’re going to do great. Hmm, looks like you’ve caught the attention of one of the young men.”
I freeze. “Don’t tell me that, you’ll make me even more nervous. Besides, I’m sure you’re mistaken.”
“I don’t think I am. Time for you to go meet them anyway.”

“Good morning. I’m Lea. I’ll be doing the interview today.”
Harry steps up first. “Hello, Lea. I’m Harry. Thanks for having us.”
“Hi Lea. I’m Niall. Nice to meet you.”
“Good morning, Lea. I’m Liam.”
Then Louis steps forward. I find myself looking into the sweetest eyes, with maybe just a spark of naughty in them. “Lea, that’s a beautiful name.”
I smile. “Thank you.”
“Oh, sorry, I’m Louis. I guess I got a bit distracted.”
I’m finding myself quite flustered. He hasn’t taken his eyes off of mine once. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Louis.”
He smirks. “The pleasure is all mine, Love.”

The interview seemed to go quite well. The guys were so nice, and I made sure to ask them new, unique questions. Not the same old ones I’ve seen them asked a million times before.
After the interview, they each thank me before heading out. Louis lingers for a moment. “That was one of the best interviews we’ve ever done. You had some great questions.”
I grin. “Thank you, Louis. That means a lot to me.” Then lowering my voice, I add. “That was my first time.”
Louis looks surprised. “Really now? Well I hope I was gentle.”
His smirk cause me to giggle. “Cute. Yes Louis, you were a gentleman.” I wink.
Louis turns to look at everyone waiting for him. “I’m afraid I have to go.”
I’m surprised by how disappointed I feel. “I understand.”
I watch as Louis turns to walk away. He only makes it a few steps before turning back to me.
“Lea, are you free to get together for tea tomorrow?”
“I’d like that, Louis.”
He grins. What an adorable grin!
“Good. I look forward to it. Bye for now, Lea.”
