Chapter 1: Bon été, Olivia!
Olivia's P.O.V.
I woke up to my alarm going off. Today's the last day of school. I'm both really happy and sad. I love school A LOT so that's why I'm sad. Yes I'm a nerd and I'm proud of it. But I'm really excited because my parents are going to be home more often in the summer! My mom's a lawyer and my dad is an electrician. I got out of bed and got into the shower. It's a good morning, and a beautiful day. I say that every morning when I wake up. It puts me in a good mood. When I got out of the shower I smelt pancackes, eggs, bacon, and sausage. Mom's home. She always makes that whenever she's home. I ran downstaris. "Good morning, mom!" I said. "Good morning, sunshine. Did you sleep good last night?" She asked. "Yeah but I had a crazy dream last night although I don't remember what it was about." I said. "Okay well, I have a big surprise for you." She replied. "Close your eyes." she said. I did. "And. . . open." She said. "Daddy!" I said, a little louder than I expected, giving him a big bear hug. "I missed you, sunshine!" he said. "I missed you too, daddy." Yes I call him 'daddy'. Don't judge me. We talked for thirty minuets about how many things have happened in the last eight months. He's gone for work a lot so this is the first time in eight months I've seen him. "Okay, time to go to school." He said. I raced him to the door. We always race to the door. Whoever gets there first, gets to drive the car. I got there first. It was a fifteen minute drive from my house to school. We got to my school and he kissed me on the forehead. "I love you, sunshine." He said. "I love you too, daddy." I replied. I walked to my locker where I found Sylvie. "Bonjour, Sylvie!" I said. "Où étiez-vous ce matin? Je devais prendre le bus de l'école par moi-même!" She said. ( Where were you this morning? I had to ride the school bus by myself!) "Mon père était à la maison aujourd'hui. Je roulais ici avec lui." ( My dad was home today. I drove here with him.) "That's so exciting! I'm so happy for you!" "Yeah, I am too! I'll be able to spend most of the summer with him." I said. "Okay, guess what?" She said. I raised my eyebrows to let her know that I want to know! " Storm Benson asked me out!" She said quietly. I smiled, "Shutup!" I said happily. "That's awsome, Syl!" She looked behind me. "Uh-oh here comes trouble." She muttured.. As soon as she said that, Literally all of the school ran away, including Sylvie! "Sylvie! Come back!" I said. "If you knew what was best for you, you would've ran too." Said Louis Tomlinson, member of the One Direction gang. I didn't jump to his words, as most people would. I turned to face him. "Qua? Parlez-vous français?" I asked. ( What? Do you speak French?) He chuckled. "I know you speak english, so don't even go all fancy with speaking spanish." He said, annoyed. "For the record, it's French, not Spanish." I said, instantly regretting it. There were three other guys behind him. "Guys, did I hear that correctly? Did she just talk back to me?" He asked his friends. "You know what Lou? She did." One of the guys said. He had curly hair and green eyes. Louis handed me a piece of paper and left just as the bell rang. Sylvie caught up to me. "Hey, I thought you were right behind me what happened?" She said. "Don't ask." I said.
Later. . .
The bell had rung, which meant school was officialy over! Sylvie and I rode the bus together. We called our parents and they said that Sylvie could come over to my house for dinner later. Sylvie got off the bus and said, "Bon été, Olivia!" (Happy summer, Olivia!) "Au revoir, Sylvie!" I replied. (Goodbye, Sylvie!) Then came my stop. I got off and ran inside. "Summer is officially here!" I said loudly. I came in and saw my mom and dad sitting at the table, sad. "Honey, we need to talk." my mom said. I have a pretty good feeling about what's gonna be said.
