THE DEATH OF YOU

Chapter 9

"That's Austin," I point at him as he walks out of the tube. I have brought Sarah with me to pick him up, too scared to face him alone, not wanting to answer any Harry related questions.
"There is something very hot about him.. Not in a Harry way but still," she studies him. We both watch him as he spots us and makes his way over, his bag slung over his shoulder. He is tall- not as much as Harry but not many are. He also possesses dimples but where Harry's are strong and profound his are mellow. His hair is blonde almost as fair as mine and where Harry's eyes are bright green, Austin's are ice blue.
I smile and wave, and his grin becomes wider. Sarah makes a move to get out of the front seat, letting him take her place but he stops her.
"Haya gorgeous," he leans down at my window and kisses my lips.
"Hi handsome," I wink.
"And you must be the famous Sarah," he gushes.
"Indeed I am, now get in we have lots to do today," she demands. We laugh as Austin gets in the back and I pull out of the car park.
"How was the ride over?" I ask him.
"It wasn't that bad.. quite pleasant actually... lots to see."
He always sees the bright side of everything.
"So Sarah, what have you got planned for today?" Austin turns to her. I glance her way and notice her wicked grin. Oh no.
"Well after you settle in and meet dad and fill your belly. . We are headed out to the shack," she hoots.
"Err no.. I don't think that's a good idea," I crinkle my forehead. This is a really bad idea.
"Why not? Didn't you say Louis owns that place?" Austin leans in between the two front seats.
"Yes.." I reply slowly.
"So? Let's go," he says simply.
"Do you not remember the last time we came across my friends?" I inquire.
"Well yeah.. But they’re your friends and we should learn to get along," he states. I am not convinced, scared of who might be there.
"Come on Cass, he wants to go!" Sarah adds.
"Why are you so into going?" I shoot at her.
"Glad you asked," she smirks.
"Louis has this new worker-"
"Guy?" I cut in.
"Yes! Have you met him?" She faces me, her face lighting up in excitement.
"I have."
"Well this lad has the best accent ever and he's just divine," Sarah's face turns dreamy.
"Where is he from?" Austin questions, finding this amusing.
"Somewhere around the middle east," Sarah shrugs.
"He's from Israel," I claim.
"Yes! He is.. A hot Israeli," Sarah says smugly.
I know then I've lost, and we will be visiting the shack later today. I make a mental note to text Eleanor and Perrie, inviting them to join.
"Dad! We're home," Sarah calls out as we get in.
Sam peeks from the kitchen waving a towel as he dries his hands.
"Austin, lovely to meet you," He strides over once his hands are dry, holding out a palm for Austin to shake.
"You too sir," he smiles widely.
"Sam, please," Sam corrects him.
"Why don't you take Austin up so he can settle in?" Sam questions.
I nod and we head up. I've already made arrangements with Sarah that Austin will be staying in her room, while she rooms with me, since I’m still not comfortable with him in my bed, the same one that was shared with Harry for so long.
"So.. you'll be staying in Sarah's room," I open her door.
"House rules and all," she adds as she emerges from my own room.
"It's fine really," He assures us.
"Great, so while you love birds catch up I'm going to make myself irresistible for tonight," she winks before shutting herself in the bathroom.
"So that's Sarah," he notes, nodding his head towards the closed door.
"Indeed," I smile, taking a step closer to him. He opens his arms and pulls me closer wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Hey.." He whispers.
"Hey..." I reply softly.
"I've missed you," he says.
"I've missed you first," I answer, though deep down it might be a lie.
He kisses my lips and our kiss turns passionate.
"Cassie?" Sam calls from downstairs. We break apart and I lean my forehead on Austin's chest and sigh.
He lets out a soft chuckle and moves back taking my hand in his linking our fingers.
We head then down to Sam.
“So Austin, how is school?" Sam questions. They start this long conversation which I don't follow. I just stare at them back and forth. Austin. He is wonderful and yet I am having trouble and I am not sure why. Harry's words about coming for me echo in my mind and I can't help but wonder if that might be the reason.
But Austin is amazing. He is kind and sweet and fun and gorgeous.
"I'm ready! It is time to go," Sarah whooshes into the room.
"You look nice," Sam eyes her disapprovingly. She is dressed in a very short black dress and high heels. Her long strawberry blonde hair is loose, falling down her shoulders.
"You look incredible!" I gush, making a huge smile appear on her lips.
But then her eyes skim my outfit and a frown is placed on her face instead.
"You haven't changed!" She exclaims.
"Didn't feel like it," I shrug, still in my sweatpants from earlier on.
"You cannot go out like that- Austin, a little help here," she scolds.
"Cassie should wear whatever she wants," he winks.
"God! Pathetic.. let's be off then, but don't be surprised if I make as if I don't know you two once we get there," she warns.
"No problem," I agree, knowing it's an empty threat.
We arrive at the shack which is relatively still quite empty. Good.
"Cassie's back!" Demi hurries over once spotting us giving me a tight hug.
"Haya, I had to see your smiling face again," I laugh.
"You must be the boyfriend! Heard so much about you," Demi gushes shaking his hand.
"Same here," He smiles kindly though it is another lie since I’ve never really mentioned my friends back home.
"Niall starts in an hour, he'll be so happy to see you," Demi squeezes hand.
We take our seats at one of the tables and Demi takes our order.
"She seems nice," Austin comments.
"Demi is lovely," I agree.
"Hello there," says a voice. It is the new boy- Guy.
"Hey Guy, come join us," Sarah invites him.
"I will, the moment Niall gets here," he promises her and her face lights up.
A few minutes later Perrie and Zayn walk in followed by Eleanor and Louis.
When they spot us they make their way over. I notice Eleanor swat Louis, making him behave.
After a round of greetings they join us.
"So Austin, how do you find Watford?" El questions.
"It is lovely," he answers politely.
"Louis this place of yours is Ace," he turns to him, trying hard to get into Louis's good graces.
"Thanks mate, I try," Louis answers and I exhale, glad he is playing nice.
"Niall! Over here!" Perrie suddenly stands and waves, making Austin raise a brow.
"Niall is partially blind," Eleanor explains.
"Who do we have here?" He inquires, making his way over.
"Me!" I stand pacing over and wrapping my arms around his neck kissing his cheek.
"Cassie!" He claims happily.
I introduce him to Austin and after a few words Niall goes to relieve Guy.
Sarah makes room for him as he joins our table and I notice the way he rests his hand on the back of her chair.
"Guy, how are you liking The UK?" I lean in to talk to him.
"Great! I love it here," he smiles brightly.
"Where are you living?" I question.
"Right now in Zayn and Perrie's spare room, but I'm moving out next month, once my flat will be ready," he explains.
"Oh, how do you know Perrie and Zayn?"
"My sister went to collage with Zayn's sister so she hooked us up," he explains.
"You need to see this lad with a car and tools- it's sick!" Zayn speaks up.
Guy bumps his fist with Zayn's.
“That is all I did when I was younger take apart cars and put them together,” Guy explains.
"This is quite a unique friendship," Austin notes. All heads turn to him.
"How's that?" Zayn questions daring him to speak.
"It's just cool to see an Israeli and a Muslim get along.. That’s all."
I am not able to look at my friends faces, wishing Austin would have kept his mouth shut.
"Really Austin?" Sarah snaps.
"I didn't mean anything by it- just claiming it's nice," he hurries to say realizing he has made a mistake.
"It's fine really.. look man, not everything has to be politics... not everything is hate and fights, my ethnic or religion doesn't choose who I should be friends with and get along with, and same with Zayn's and yours, it's the person that counts, the heart and Zayn is like a brother to me and his family like my own," Guy explains.
"That is inspiring," Austin nods.
"Have you heard? Harry is starting to race again next month," Louis changes the conversation quickly.
"Oh yeah, Zayn mentioned working on the car..."
"Where is he anyway? Aren't him and Ed showing up?" Eleanor asks.
"How is he allowed to race again?" I speak up. All heads turn to me. They keep quite letting me know he isn't, but doing it anyway.
"How can you let him? And how can you work on his car?" I scold Zayn angrily.
"You know how Harry is Cass.. There is no changing his mind once it is set," Eleanor states softly.
"Change the subject since Styles and Sheeran just walked in," Guy claims nodding towards entrance. Everyone’s heads turn.
"It's about bloody time you showed up!" Louis shouts.
"Hold your horses," Ed frowns and I can immediately tell they had an argument. However, Harry is looking at me a smirk on his face, not looking too annoyed.
"Austin! How lovely to see you again!" He ignores everyone but my boyfriend. I notice El's cocked eyebrow and the roll of Ed's eyes.
"Hi gorgeous," Ed greets me with a hug.
"Is everything alright?" I whisper to him.
He gives his head a slight shake.
"So Harry, you're racing again? Is that true?" I turn, determined to turn this into a convention. The smile on his face evaporates and his eyes become angry slits.
"You told her?!" The anger not hidden anymore, as he turns to Ed.
"I did," Perrie speaks up even though I don't think it was her.
"Are you out of your bloody mind?" I demand to know.
"Who the hell do you think you are to tell me what to do?" He spits.
"God knows no one can ever tell you what to do since you forever controlling decide for yourself and everybody else! but this is yet one of your most dumb and reckless ideas yet!" I raise my voice in anger and frustration. Austin puts a hand on my own.
Harry's eyes dart to the contact of skin between Austin and me before coming back to mine.
"You out of all people lost the privilege of speaking your mind the moment you turned us down," He whispers. Then he turns around and leaves the pub.
"Great.. just great! Look what you did!" Louis states. I'm not sure if he's joking or serious however, Ed jumps to my defence.
"She isn't the problem! You all are! Why are Cassie and I the only ones speaking our minds and trying to put a stop to this idiotic idea?" Ed exclaims. They all keep quiet, shame on their faces.
"Like Cass said he won't listen anyway so what's the point," Zayn shrugs.
"Because that is what friends do! They speak up anyway like you all did with me, we're leaving.. Come Austin," I get up. Sarah was getting a ride home with Guy, so Austin follows out.
"What was that all about?" Austin hurries to catch up. But I don't reply since Just then I notice Harry and Ben in a full ongoing fist fight.
