I grabbed Lindsey’s hand as I turned around, not knowing what to expect. I turned around and saw a security guard standing there. I’m very confused, did I do something wrong? I thought. I glanced at Lindsey, she also had a confused look on her face. “Hi I’m Paul, One Direction’s security guard, Niall asked me to invite you and your friend backstage with him.” A huge smile spread across my face, “really, did he say why?” I asked. “No he didn’t, if you could just follow me this way please.” He said turning around, guiding us to Niall. Niall had a shy smile on his face as we came closer. He stepped closer and pulled me into a hug. My heart skipped a beat, Niall just hugged me! He turned to Lindsey and gave her a hug as well. “Hi I’m Niall, I hope you enjoyed the show.” Noticing Lindsey was too in shock to say anything so I said, “Hi it was absolutely amazing you guys were so good! I’m Kayla by the way and this is my best friend Lindsey.” I said pointing to her. “Hi nice to meet you” Lindsey said quietly. Niall smiled “It’s very lovely to meet you both, would you like to meet the rest of the lads?” Oh my gosh his Irish accent is so perfect. Suddenly, I remembered that he just asked me something. “Yeah that would be awesome!” “Great” He smiled and led us backstage. He introduced us to Harry then Zayn then Liam and Louis each one pulling us into a hug. Lindsey and Harry kept looking at each other and quickly looking away. I was going to do something about it, I don’t know when or how but I am going to help them out. “Hey can I talk to you alone for a second?” Niall asked snapping me out of my thoughts. “Umm yeah, sure.” I turned to Lindsey really quickly and said “Will you be ok here with Harry or do need me to stay with you.” She smiled and said “I’ll be ok here you can go,” nudging me a little. “Ok you two have fun.” I said turning back to Niall. This was perfect now Lindsey will have to talk to Harry! He was smiling at me and then led me to their dressing room. We sat on the couch together. “Are you from America?” He asked. I laughed a little, surprised that he brought that up. “Yeah I’m from New York, I’m here for college studying sound engineering,” I said. “That’s so cool, so you go right here in London?” He asked. “Yeah I’m 18 so I just moved here last month with Lindsey, she’s all I have here and I don’t know my way around very well.” “Well if you ever need someone to show you around I’ll be happy too on my times off.” He said blushing a little. “I might just have to take you up on that offer.” With a smile on my face that I’m sure made me look like an idiot but I don’t care. Niall giggled a little and I said, “ok so what made you want to have me come backstage?” By the look on Niall’s face I could tell he was thinking hard about what he was going to say. He was leaning forward a little rubbing the back of his neck. “Ok I’m gonna come right out and say it, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen and when I looked into your eyes I felt something I never felt before. An amazing feeling I never wanted to end. I knew I had to meet you.” Niall looked a little nervous about what he said and blushed a bright pink. Without even thinking I threw my arms around him. Pulling away I said, “Thank you that was sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me.” “No need to thank me for telling the truth, but your welcome.” I looked down at my watch It’s 11:00pm! “Niall I’m having an amazing time but I have class tomorrow I really have to go.” I said standing up. He pulled my arm lightly. “Kayla wait, before you go, can I have your number, you know if you don’t have a boyfriend.” He said nervously. “It’s your lucky day because I don’t have a boyfriend.” I said pulling a pen out of my purse. I grabbed his and he flinched a little at my touch but smiled and relaxed. I wrote my number on his hand and we left to go back to Lindsey. “Lindsey you ready to go?” She was still with Harry, yes! “Yeah I’m ready,” she said. We said our goodbyes and we walked to the car. Once we got in the car it all started to sink in. Wow that actually just happened.
