I do love him, I really do, but we can’t just get back together. We both hurt each other and I don’t know if everything will go back to normal. I look back at him and his deep blue eyes were already trying to read my expression. I can’t read him with all of those piercings on his face, why did he get those anyways? Where’s my Niall that I used to know? The one who is so carefree with no tattoos and no piercings all over his face, the one who loves to show his Irish pride.





“Lauren,” he’s pleading. I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out only the ringtone of a cell phone. “Are you going to answer,” I questioned raising a brow. He rolled his eyes and answered the call, still watching me as if I would run. If I could run, I would, but he’s gotten faster than me so he would probably get me anyways.





“We are out in the woods.” Niall answers.




“No she’s not crying.”



“No.”




“Calm your ass down.”




“If you want her, come and find her yourself.”




“Fuck you.” And he hangs up.




He looks at me and I stand up, “Wow.” “Wow what,” I ask shaking off the dirt from my dress. “It’s been four months and you have curves and that dress seems too brings out your curves really well… like I mean you look hot,” He examines me. I take a step back, “I think we should go…” “You haven’t answered what I asked you earlier,” He said grabbing my arm. A rattle in the bushes nearby us made me jump. “What,” Niall laughed catching me as I jumped into his arms. “Niall, I’m serious… we need to go back to the house now.” I whisper looking around. Noises were coming closer and I slid off Niall beginning to run, “What the hell Lauren?” I ran back to him, grabbed his arm and started to fast walk. “We are in the woods, there could be coyotes by us or snakes, come on,” I rush my words. He chuckles and starts jogging by me.






We made it to the backyard and I sit on the bench putting on my shoes. “I never knew that you’ve been faster than me at running,” I pant. “Niall,” I got up looking around. Of course, I knew this would happen. He would ditch me after all he said to me in the woods, I’m just so stupid. I began walking to the backdoor as I heard footsteps, I turned around, and Niall grabbed me and picked me up. “What the fuck Niall,” I squeal, trying to slide off his shoulder. He laughed and threw me in the pool. He would, when I’m wearing an expensive dress he would throw me into a pool. The cold water felt nice as I splashed in. The dress was heavier in the water and I had to tred so I won’t sink to the bottom. I made my way back up to the surface finding Niall standing at the edge smiling. “Wipe that smile off your face you little shit,” I teased. “You should’ve seen your face as I picked you up, that was some funny shit right there,” He played around with me. I rolled my eyes and swam closer to him. “Well thanks for getting my expensive dress soaked, and my make up is probably smeared… the least you can do is help me get out,” I whined while reaching out my hand. “Fine,” he rolled his eyes. He grabbed my hand and lifted me up. As soon as my body was halfway out, I tightened my grip on him, “What the,” He murmured as I pulled him in. I turned around watching him pop up to the surface. “What the fuck was that for,” He growled swimming towards me. I giggled, “I thought you needed some water to cool you off.” I started doing the breast stroke kick to swim away from him but his long muscular arms wrapped around me and pulled me in. I giggled forgetting that I was supposed to be avoiding him. “You know I missed this… us,” he breathed against my neck. I swallowed trying to not give in, “Niall…” I spoke quietly. He pulls me closer to him and his hot wet lips pressed against my neck. I missed his body against mine, I missed the way he kisses me all over… the way he, wait I’m supposed to be not with him. I opened my eyes and screamed pushing him off me, “Niall, no, we can’t.” He frowns, “Don’t you miss everything Lo? Don’t you miss us? We have that special touch when we are together. We are our other half of each other, we need each other. Lauren, I miss you.” Shocked from his words and what happened I stand in the shallow end. I shake my head, “Niall you know it won’t work…” I began to say. “It will never work,” a voice says. We both broke our stare and looked towards who it was. Cayla and Harry were standing there.






“What the hell were you thinking,” She yells as I was stepping out of my soaked dress. I wrapped a towel around me and watched her pace back and forth. “Logan has been waiting here all this time and you blew him off with Niall… the one who broke your heart, yes I know you probably still have feelings for you but you both need to move on… your relationship is so chaotic.” Cayla rambles on. I sat down on the bed fumbling with the wet dress. Kate walks in and hands me a short in the front and long in the back Navy blue dress. “I’m sorry I got your floor wet from coming back inside…” I apologize. She gives me a warm smile, “It’s totally fine, trust me, Liam and I are ok with it.” I smiled as she walks towards the door. She turns back around, “Liam wants to talk to you after you’re done changing.” I nod and she leaves. I go into the bathroom to change, “When you go talk to Liam, I’m going over to Harry to see how Niall is doing… I’m also going to give him advice for his own health,” Cayla states as I change. I walk back out and I watch Cayla go up to Niall. She starts moving his arms and he argues with her, Harry holds her and looks back at me with a sympathy look on his face. I nod trying to hold back the tears, I watch her hit him and walk away smiling. He looks around the room and our eyes meet, he frowns and steps back. I turn around to go look for Liam. “There you are,” Liam smiles as he steps in front of me. “I was looking for you too, Kate told me that you wanted to talk to me,” I smiled. “Yes I do, please sit,” he gestures the couch and I sit. “I know what happened out in my pool...” He whispers. I quietly fidgeted, now things are getting awkward. “I’m sorry,” I apologized for the fiftieth time today. He chuckled, “No it’s fine. I just wanted to say, I know you and Niall are having rough times without each other right now and trust me I really want you guys to be together. You both are so happy; you two fit each other like jigsaw puzzles. I understand why you are avoiding him, you’re afraid that another big thing will happen like last time and you don’t want to hurt him. He feels the same too, you both changed a lot and it’s scaring me… well he’s scaring me. What’s probably best is that you both stay away from each other for a while and plan yourselves out… maybe even finish college since you have one year left, we don’t want him stressed and depressed during our world tour. Find out what went wrong and try to fix it, we all want you to be together… Cayla is only being a bitch about this because she’s looking out for you, don’t mind her. Just take baby steps and start thinking about what you want.” He’s right… about everything; I do need to take baby steps. “Thanks Liam thanks for always helping me out and knowing what’s best,” I smile. He smiles and looks past me. I turn around and Logan is right behind me, I stand up, “Hey Logan.” He shifts, “I was worried while you were gone… I thought you might have gotten eaten alive or something, I’m glad Harry told me that you’re back though.” I smile and Liam walks away smirking, because he knew I was with Niall. “Well thanks for worrying about me,” I laughed. “Anytime… hey umm do you want to dance? Everyone else is dancing so I don’t want to be rude and not ask my date to dance,” he looks up with embarrassment. “Sure,” I responded and we made our way to the dance floor.






“You are a great dance partner,” I joked. He laughed, “Thanks you had to teach me after class everyday.” “I know I’m such a good teacher,” this time we both cracked up. He twirled me swiftly and I landed back in his arms. I look across the room and I see Niall leaning against the staircase watching us. Chills spread across my body and I accidentally let go of my grip on Logan and fall. “Shit sorry,” I mumbled getting up. I glance over at Niall and he smirks, stop looking at him you idiot, my subconscious tells me. “It’s ok, it was probably my fault,” Logan helps me up. I watch Niall take another glass of wine chuckling, maybe I should get him back for making me fall. I smirk and lean closer to Logan, we started dancing again. “I hope this doesn’t make you feel awkward but your eyes are really beautiful in the light, they are like golden and it makes you even more beautiful.” Logan says looking into me. I don’t know what to say… that was really sweet and after what happened earlier he waited for me and is being super nice about it. All I could is smile. “Yeah, I’m sorry for telling you that… I just had to say it,” he frowns. A couple bumped into us right when I was going to speak and I fall into him, “Sorry.” I mumbled and look up into his eyes. He leans over and smashes his lips into me, I couldn’t move nor stop him, shock fills me and I just stand there. Glass hitting the floor fills the room and everyone stops. Once Logan pulls away, he is yanked by Niall. “Niall stop,” I raise my voice, this time everyone is looking at us three. “Don’t fucking touch my girl again,” he spats at Logan. “Niall, mate calm down…” Zayn walks up to him. He ignores him and turns to me “You,” he points. “What…” my voice is barely made out. He reaches for me and carries me out the front door, leaving Logan speechless
