I enjoyed people watching as Harry and I walked in silence. I tried to take everything in. The smell of the cafes and the fresh air. The sounds of the children laughing and playing nearby. The smell and sound of the fountain in the middle of the square. I smiled when I saw couples kissing and be gentle with each other. I grinned widely when I saw a man get on his knees and kiss his pregnant wife's stomach. I stopped and released Harry's hand. I lifted my camera and took a photo. I gazed at it on the digital screen. Harry looked over my shoulder and smiled.
"That is a beautiful thing." He murmured resting his chin on my shoulder. I smiled and rested my head against his. He put his arm around my waist as we watched the couple. I felt tears spring to my eyes as I watched the man lightly caress his wife's stomach and she ran her fingers through his hair. It was such an intimate moment to have in a public place. "Noli, why are you upset?" Harry whispered in my ear.
"I was just thinking about my mom." I replied quietly. Harry gently pushed my hair behind my ear. "She never got to have something like that. I know that my mother loves me, more than anything but sometimes I wish that she got to have a love before me." I explained fighting back the tears as Harry made me turn to him.
Harry cleared my face of tears, "But your mother has so much more with you than most people will ever have in a lifetime. I'm sure that she doesn't regret anything." I buried my face in his neck. Harry held me tightly and tried to soothe me. "Maybe you should call her when we get back to the house." Harry suggested. I nodded and cleared my face completely. Harry released me. I turned to start walking away but Harry stood still. I looked back at him with furrowed brows.
"Harry, what's the matter?" I asked concerned with the expression on his face. He looked upset, angry and happy all at once.
"Kiss me." HE commanded.
"What?" I was a bit shocked.
"Enola, kiss me." His voice had urgency.
"Harry, in front of all of these people? What if someone recognizes you and takes a picture?" I was worried. I didn't want to get him in trouble or make his life difficult.
HE shook his head, "I don't care. I want you to kiss me." I felt nervous as I took a step closer and placed my arms around his neck. "Noli, kiss me." He begged. I softly brushed my lips against his, not fully making contact. Harry happily indulged in the teasing for a moment, rubbing his bottom lip against mine. He growled lowly after a moment the enveloped my lips with his. We stood in the middle of the square meshing our mouths in the most passionate of kisses. He held me tighter each time his tounge brushed against mine. I buried my fingers in the back of his hair as he became more intense with his grip. Harry cupped my cheek as his kiss softened. He broke the kiss and pressed his forehead to mine. He placed sweet, soft kisses on my lips, brushing my hair away from my face. "Please, don't let me go." He whispered resting his cheek against my temple.
I closed my eyes and for the moment it was only Harry and I in the square. All I could smell was his cologne. All I could feel was the soft skin of his chest touching my clavicles, the feel of his hair sweeping across my face from the breeze. I couldn't hear the sounds of the city, just the beating of his heart and his breathing. What was happening? What was this man doing to me? I'd never felt like this and it was scaring me. I couldn't feel like this. It wasn't fair for me to feel like this.
