Identity

Deep breaths Shayla, deep breaths. I breathe deeply before my door was opened and the screams of people erupted from behind the red carpet fences. I put on my best smile as I made my way out of the limo. I stand up smoothing my dress and fixing my hair one last time before walking towards the carpeted pathway leading to my destiny. My first award show. The Teen Choice Awards 2014. I can't believe I'm here.

"Lacy! Lacy over here!"

"Is it true your dating Jusin Beiber?!"

"Are you still pregnant with Shawn Mendes's baby?"

"Lacy, smile for my camera!" The paparazzi yelled as flashes went off everywhere around me. I chuckled at there assumptions. 'They always make rumors about the new artist, it's there Job to look at your flaws, and criticize' my Mother told me the first time a vicious rumor was announced. I continued walking down the carpet brushing of there words but not before smiling at all of their cameras. Walking further down I noticed I was around all of my idols. To my left was Meghan Trainor, to my right was Taylor Swift, walking behind me was Ed Sherran, and in front of me was the band One Direction. There were four of them standing there, talking to a skimpy dresses interviewer. I remember that less then three months ago Zayn Malik left the band to 'Be a normal person' I was heart broken. I mean don't get me wrong, I don't like anyone in that band, But I love their music!

"Lacy! Watch out!" I heard someone from the crowd scream snapping me out of my thoughts. All of a sudden there was a high heel flying towards my head. I duck down fast enough to hear the shoe smack against the back dropped wall behind me. By now all eyes were on me. I stood up quickly looking around to try an see who threw the shoe but I didn't see anyway. I was hurt by the actions but decided to avoid showing it by walking down to the end of the carpet and into the areana for the show. I walked up to the the man at the podium that would tell me where my seat was.

"Why hello there Lacy! I'm sorry the crowd got a little wild out there. You aren't hurt are you?" The middle aged man asked me worriedly.

"No! Don't worry I'm fine. Luckily I have fast reflexes." I laughed aekwardly and he let on a small laugh too.

"Well Miss Shalts, I can assure you your night will get better. You'll be sitting in seat 16 in row 5, next to Selena of course and... Oh the One Direction Boys! He said handing me a slip so I can remember my seat number. I mentally face palm myself dissappinted by my seating arrangement.

"Is that okay Lacy?" The nice man asked me.

"Yes sir, that's perfect. Thank you." I kissed his cheek before making my way through the arena doors. When I walked threw the doors I was greeted by the large open room that had seats everywhere. It looked as if it could seat over 20,000 people. I walk down the isle careful not to fall down the stairs. I look at the slip of paper the usher gave me, looking for the correct chair.

"Seat number 13, seat number 14, seat number 15, oh! Here it is!" I chanted excitedly to myself. I got myself situated in my seat awaiting the arrival of my best friend. My slone time was cut short when I heard a group of yelling coming from behind me.

"Louis! Get back here!" Someone shouted. I stood up and turned around to see who was yelling. What I saw was two boys running down the isle toward me. One with a shoe and his and the other running angrily towards the boy I assumed was holding the angry ones shoe. I noticed these were the boys of One Direction. That means I would have to sit with them while I waited for Selena. Umm let me think... Hell no! I walked past the vacant seats in the row and towards the exit. I might as well go hang out in the bathroom until it's closer to showtime. I speed walked past the two rambunctious boys towards the stairs.

"Louis! Give me my bloody shoe!" The angry one I recognized as Liam yelled.

"Over my dead body! Hey lady watch out I'm comin' through!" Louis laughed.

Wait did he say watch out? Before I knew it the boy had knowledge shoulders with me forcefully, which in these heels, caused me to loose my balance and fall on my butt in front of them. Well this is weird. Especially cause I'm wearing a really short dress.

"Bloody hell mate! You knocked over this poor gal. This wouldn't of happened if you weren't being childish and took my shoe from the start!" He told Louis firmly grabbing my arms and helping me up. I stood up reagining my balance, brushing off my bum and looking up at the two lads that caused my fall.

"Well at least some of us can have fun Liam!" Louis teased playfully before two other boys came towards us laughing at the scene unfold.

"That was priceless! I was laughing so hard when you ran into this lady." A curly Brown haired boy chuckled. I turned and shot him a glare. Actually I shot everyone of the boys in front of me a glare.

"Oh my god! Your Lacy Shalts!" The blonde one exclaimed wide eyed in front of me. P

"She is? Oh wow she is!" They all questioned looking at me intensely.

"Yeah I am. But why are you all staring at me like that I'm just like you lads." I told them getting slightly uncomfortable under all there gazes.

"We're just staring cause your a lot different in person." Louis replied.

"Oh really? And why is that?" I smirked at him waiting for an answer. Then the blonde one cleared his throat.

"I think our my friend Louis over here, is trying to tell you that you are certainly a lot prettier face to face." He smiled at me cheekily.

"I'm Niall. That's Harry, and you already know Liam and Louis."

"Haha! Yeah I sure do. I'm Lacy Shalts."

"Oh trust me. We know who you are love." Harry said eyeing me as if he was studying me and trying to figure me out. Well this should make out to be an interesting night!
