The Making Of Us

Cassie POV
“School is so boring” I say to Taylor as I slump an arm over her shoulders.

“Has he called you yet?”

“No, it’s been a week since I’ve heard from him; he hasn’t even sent a text.”

Since that amazing night with Niall so much has happened. Niall and I got really close really fast, but true love doesn’t have a time frame right? I don’t care who says what; I love him and that will never change. A week before school started Niall had to return back home to Mullingar in Ireland. He promised me that he would keep in contact with me, which he has just not as often because of the time difference. We do a lot of talking on the phone and we’ve skyped a couple times as well. Just as Taylor and I are getting ready to head to History my phone starts ringing. I look at the screen to see who it is and much to my surprise it’s him.

“Niall oh my god I’ve been so worried about you. Why haven’t you called me?”

“Hi Cassie, well I have some awesome news to tell you, but first of all I’m sorry for not calling or texting you I promise I haven’t forgotten your pretty little face that easily.”

“Well what’s the news Niall?”

“Well you know the tv show called X Factor Britian? Well dad I went to Dublin and tried out for it and I’m telling the honest truth right now I got through to boot camp rounds!” he shouts excitedly at me

“Niall that is amazing, didn’t I tell you, you had an amazing voice?” I say as I choke up talking to him.

“Cass are you crying? What’s wrong?”

“Well I miss you terribly, and now you’re going to be gone for even longer and we won’t be able to talk very much because you’ll be too busy with the show. I can’t even watch it because I live in the U.S.”

“Cassie please calm down. I promised you when I left I would stay in touch and I am doing that. I’m going to make you another promise too. Before every show I will email you a link so you can live stream it on your computer ok.”

How can I refuse that sweet voice the only thing I can say right now is “ok."

I hear the bell ring and I quickly tell Niall how much I love him and how much I miss him before I hang up and head to class.

Niall POV

I wish Cassie was here with me right now. I am so nervous I have never tried out for anything like this before. Over the summer I played my guitar and sang a song I wrote for Cassie. She loved it and wouldn’t shut up about how good my voice was. So when I found out the X Factor Britain was doing auditions in Dublin I couldn’t pass it up. It took me by surprise actually because I made it through to boot camp and so far it’s going awesome. I called Cassie since I haven’t spoken to her in a while and told her what was going on.

She was excited for me but sad because she misses me, I miss her too but I need to do this for myself. We were down to the last boys and Simon picked Matt as the last to go through. It shattered me to have worked so hard and not go through to judges houses.
Dad and I were getting ready to leave when some of the workers for the show called back some of us.

“Can I have your attention I need Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson to please come back on the stage please.”

My nerves were at their highest right now. What was going on? Myself and the other four boys walk back out onto the satge and I see a group of girls too. Simon starts off by saying something about how were are too talented to let go.

“I want to put you guys and you gals into a group and these groups will make up the final people to go through to judges houses.”

Next thing in knew I was jumping around the stage with these other four lads crying and carrying on. It had to be hands down the happiest day of my life. We met up later that week at Harry’s house and came up with our band name One Direction. We sat around the fire all night supposed to be talking about band stuff but ended up playing football instead.

Cassie POV

“Oh my god Niall, I can’t believe you made it! How do you like the other boys? Are you all getting along? I miss you and I love you so so much. I can’t even begin to tell you how proud I am of you.”

So awesome news Niall thought he was kicked off the show for good but the producers called back him and four other boys as well to go back out on stage. Then Simon told them they were too good to let go and decided to put them together as a band. They have to go to Simon’s house and perform to make sure they make it through to the live shows. But I have faith they will Niall Is easy to get along with. I can’t wait to go see him in London in a couple of weeks. I spoke to his mom and we arranged a surprise for him.

TWO WEEKS LATER

“I’m Nervous mom, I don’t want to come back to you sicker than you already are.”

Mom was already in the hospital, she’s been here for a couple weeks now and has been hooked up to the chemo every day for two hours. She’s gotten really weak, her doctor says her immune system is very fragile at this point so she has no choice but to stay in the hospital.

“Cass, you’ll be fine. I want you to have fun you’re going to see Niall. All I’ve heard for weeks now is how much you miss him and how much you love him. His mother and I didn’t make these plans for you for nothing. I will be calling you every day and you’re only going to be gone for four days anyways no big deal.”

“I know mom, I guess I’m just a little nervous is all.”

“I promise I will be ok, now call your dad to come get you and take you’re pretty little butt to the airport. Your flight leaves in two hours.”

With that I grabbed my phone and called my dad. He came and got me dropped me off at the airport as I went to go sit in the terminal and wait the remaining thirty minutes to board the plane. It’s about 6pm here so I should land in London at around 7:30am tomorrow morning. From there a car will be waiting to take me to my hotel.
