The Making Of Us

I wasn’t too excited to be staying with my grandparents. It gets really boring over there well except for the neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Gallagher. They have this really cute grandson, I’m not sure what his name is but trust me he is really cute. He’s not too tall has blonde hair and the most beautiful blue eyes and thick Irish accent. The first time I saw him was when school was first let out for the summer.


I was visiting my grandparents for a week to help out after my grandma’s back surgery. I was taking the trash can up to the curb for tomorrow’s trash day

“AHHH FECK IT ALL!”


The sudden cursing startled me and I dropped the can and all the trash inside went spilling out into the driveway..

“WELL FUCK ME RUNNIN GOD DAMN IT!” I shout as I trip and fall.

“Are you alright love, you didn’t hurt yourself did you?”

that’s when I saw those beautiful blue sapphires staring down at me.

“oh..uhh..hmmm.. yeah, no It’s not too bad though, I’ll be ok .”

I go to get up but fall back over, I cannot put any weight on my right foot and ankle at all.

“Shit what the fuck am I going to do now?”

"Here love let me help you.”

This beautiful boy picked up the trash bags and stuffed them quickly back inside the trash bin and wheeled it the last 10 feet to the curb before returning to help me off the ground.

“jeez this will be a story to tell Taylor later” I thought to myself

"ok love can you walk on your foot at all?”

“uhh I can try if you could just let me lean on you?”

“that’s not a problem love. You put your arm around my neck and on three I’ll pull you up..ok?”

“ok sounds like a plan.” I giggle a little as I reply.

“ok one..two..three… nope not gonna work” he shouted

“great now how am I gonna get back into the hou ahhhh!”

Before I could finish my sentence he scooped me up bridal style and was carrying me over to Mr. and Mrs. Gallagher’s house. He had me in the house and sitting on the island in the middle of the kitchen before i knew what was going on.

“let me get a look at that foot” he says before carefully removing my sandal and examining my ankle and foot.

“ I’m sorry I didn’t introduce myself, My name is Niall and it looks like I am going to be taking you to the hospital miss uhh I don’t know your name."

He must be nervous because he is kind of rambling , its cute

“Um Cassie.. My name is Cassie it’s nice to meet you Niall. But my grandparents aren’t home right now and I can’t drive so how am I going to get to the hospital?”

“Well lucky for you I’m 16 and have my driver’s license and I can take you and call your grandparents when we arrive, does that sound ok?”

“yea that’s fine but let’s go it’s really starting to swell and hurt now.”

And with that Niall scooped me up and carried me to the suv and off we went towards the hospital.
