The Making Of Us

Three more days until Taylor and I leave for Chicago. I can’t wait to see what Niall has planned for us. Our one year anniversary is on Tuesday and he said he has a huge surprise planned for me (Phone rings).

“Hey what’s up?” I say into the phone

“Hi love I have a question.” Liam says into the phone

“Well I may have an answer.” I say back

“Is Louis telling the truth that you’re pregnant?” Liam asks

“Yes Liam, I found out about two weeks ago. But I told Niall I had the flu and that’s why I wasn’t feeling well so please don’t tell him. I’m going to do it when we can be together in the next few days.” I say

“Well congratulations love I promise I won’t say a word to Niall and neither will the others.” Liam assures me.

“Thank you Liam anything else need clarified” I say giggling

“No but now I can tell the other lads that Lou actually told the truth” he laughs

After saying good bye to Liam I hang up the phone and head up to my room. I haven’t done much today but I am exhausted. I’ve already packed everything I need for Chicago, and my brother said he will come and get me to take me and Taylor to the airport. He is excited to be an uncle, I can tell he’s been trying to help me come up with a list of names already. I’ve told him I would take his ideas into account but the list will be made by Niall and I. I just get laid down to take a quick nap when my phone starts ringing again, I grab it from the night stand to see who it is.

“Hello Zayn.” I say as I answer the phone

“Congratulations!” I hear two voices say

“Thanks you guys.” I say

“So how far along are you now?” I hear harry say into the phone

“I’m almost eight weeks” I say

“Wow already, that’s amazing. When can you find out the sex of the baby?” Zayn asks

“I was told I can find that out around 22 weeks. So it will still be a while” I reply

“That’s cool, so have you told Niall yet?” they ask together

“NO! and don’t either of you say a word. I’m coming in three days and I want to be the one who tells him.” I say

“Told who what? Who are you on the phone with?” I hear Niall say in the background

“Oh nothing but we’re talking with Cassie on the phone. Want to say hi?” Zayn says to him

“Hi baby are you feeling better now?” Niall asks me

“Yes much better I can’t wait to see you in three days” I say

“Well Cass we are already in Chicago so do you and Taylor want to come sooner?” he asks me

“UH YEAH! When?” I say

“I can have a plane ready for you two by four o’clock today if you’d like” Niall says

“YES PLEASE! I’ll call Tay and have her get her stuff together and meet me at my house and my brother will drive us to the airport. I love you baby” I say

“I love you too, see you later tonight” Niall says

I call Taylor and tell her the good news. She is over to my house in about fifteen minutes. I call my brother and ask him if he can come over and get me and Taylor and drop us off at the airport. He said it’s not a problem, he’s being extra nice and carries our suit cases to the car and loads them up.

“Why are you being so nice?” I ask

“Well a gentleman should never let a pregnant woman carry heavy things. You could hurt yourself.” He replies

“Well thank you for being so thoughtful” I say to him

We arrive at the airport and Nate carries our bigger heavier suit cases while Taylor and I drag our carry on bags and purses with us. Nate stays with us until we get through security then we say good bye. He gives me a hug and tells me to be safe and knuckles Taylor then heads off back towards the entrance. It’s only an hour long flight before we arrive in Chicago, I was surprised to find Zayn and Liam waiting for us by the baggage claim. They too were being very gentleman like and grabbed our bigger suit cases except they took the carry-on bags too so all we had to carry was our purses. When we reached the front doors all I could see was a lot of flashing.

“Fucking great!” I say

“Don’t worry Cass, you and Tay stay here. Payno and I will take all the bags out first and load them up and then we’ll come back in and get you. Security won’t let them in the lobby so you’ll be safe here.” Zayn says

“Ok” we say.

Zayn and Liam step outside and try to walk swiftly to the car but are swarmed immediately by Paps. I can hear some of the questions being asked.

“Are you picking up your girlfriends?”
“Are Harry and Louis an actual item?”
“What do you think of Niall’s relationship”

these people are fucking annoying to say the least. Zayn and Liam finally make it back inside for us.

“Ok Cassie you wrap your arm around mine and hold my hand. Stay close and do not for the love of god let go. You are, you know” he says putting a hand on my stomach.

“Ok Zayn please don’t let go of me and please don’t let me fall” I say

“Love I would never do that, if you feel yourself going down or they are closing in pinch me I’ll carry your little ass to the car. Taylor same with you do not let go of Liam’s arm stay very close. These people are assholes and don’t give a shit about anything but the shot they need” he says

We walk outside and I am instantly blinded by flashing lights. I can feel people tugging at my other free arm so I bring it up to get a better grip on Zayn’s arm. I can’t see anything and trip over someone’s foot I almost fall but compose myself. I can feel Zayn walking a little faster now but it’s not working because I trip again.

“Zayn is this you and Liam’s dirty little secrets?” one pap yells

“Why aren’t Louis and Niall picking up their girlfriends?” another one yells

“Perfect headline CASSANDRA SCREWS ANOTHER MEMBER OF 1D” a woman yells in my ear.

“What the fuck did you just say?” I scream tears instantly rolling down my face

I can’t see this lady but trust me If I could she’d get one hell of a punch in the face. I don’t have time to even turn around before Zayn lifts me off the ground and carries me the rest of the way to the car. Liam and Taylor right behind us. We climb in and shut all the doors and windows. Zayn tells me to just ignore them.

“That’s what they do love, they make everyone’s life a living hell. They are just monsters.” He says

I wipe my face and fix my make-up before we arrive at the Hilton Hotel. This time the driver takes us to a secret entrance in the back so we don’t have to deal with the paps again. Taylor, Liam, Zayn and I make our way up to the very top floor. The ride on the elevator is making me nauseous.

“Are you ok love?” I hear Liam ask

I feel myself start to break out into a cold sweat, and everything starts spinning make me even sicker to my stomach. I’m going to pass out; I just know it and before I could say anything everything went dark. I woke lying on a hard, cold surface; Zayn was hovering over me with wet paper towels wrapped around my neck and he was folding one to put on my head.

“What the hell happened?” I say

“You started sweating really bad, and went very pale then just collapsed in the elevator. We are halfway up to our floor but Liam, Taylor and I carried you down here to the bathroom to put cool rags on you, and try to get you awake.” Zayn explains

The room has quit spinning but I still feel kind of weak and sick to my stomach. I go to get up and fall back. Zayn and Liam help me by putting a hand under each arm so stabilize me. Once I’m standing the nausea hit really hard. I dart to the nearest stall and start puking uncontrollably.

“Poor girl, I feel bad for her?” I hear Taylor say

“Is this normal for someone who’s pregnant?” Liam asks

“Yea she’s been dealing with the vomiting for a few weeks now but this is the first time she’s passed out though” Taylor explains

I finally regain my composure and go out to the sink, wash my hands and walk slowly with Zayn at me side back to the elevator. We ride the rest of the way to the top and make our way to the rooms. Taylor goes into Louis’ room and Liam leads me down to Niall’s.

“He should be back in about an hour” Liam tells me

“Where’d he go?” I ask

“He had to go do a sound check, he got a new headset mic and they have to adjust it and everything. Shouldn’t take long. If I was you I would lie down and sleep for a little while. I’ll go down to the kitchen and get you some crackers and sprite.” He says to me

“Can you get me a ginger ale instead please? And get my purse for me I have pills in there for the nausea I can take.” I say

“Sure love anything, here is your purse and I will be back in a few minutes with that ginger ale and crackers for you” Liam says to me

“Thank you” I reply

It’s been about ten minutes and I hear the door open to the room, but instead of Liam its Harry. He’s carrying a bottle of Canada Dry and box of crackers.

“Hey love I heard about your little Shenanigans on the elevator” Harry says

“Yeah this pregnancy thing is treating me pretty bad lately. That’s the first time I’ve passed out though.” I tell him

“Well here is the stuff Liam got for you, he got a call he had to take so he asked me to bring this in for you. And he already warned me no funny business.” Harry says

Harry turns and walks out of the bedroom I hear the handle on the door

“Harry?” I shout

“Yeah Cass?” he answers

“Can you sit in here with me until Niall gets here? I just don’t want to be alone after all that happened on the elevator.” I ask

“Uhmm are you sure? I guess I can sit in the chair while you take a nap for a bit. I’ll just watch some TV” he says

“Don’t be silly Harry get up here and watch some tv with me.” I say

I know this could cause all sorts of trouble but I really don’t want to be alone right now. Passing out on the elevator really freaked me out. And everyone else is busy, Harry is the last person who should be alone with me but I don’t care I’ll explain this shit to Niall when he gets here.
