The Making Of Us

“Cassie, Wake up!” I hear Taylor and Louis calling

“Go Away! five more minutes please” I groan

“No there’s no time, now get up and get ready we have to get over to the bungee place” Taylor says

I grab my pillow and put it over my head as I roll onto my stomach, I can feel the bed dip down on both sides, then it happens. Yep Louis and Taylor are jumping on my bed making me bounce all over the place, until I finally get out of bed.

“That’s our girl, thank you love. Now get dressed so we can leave” Louis says

“Where is Niall?” I ask the both of them

“He went to Starbucks on a coffee run, he’ll be back in a few.” Taylor says

Niall gets back and hands everyone their coffee, all of us are piling into the van except Zayn.

“Everyone in?” Olli asks

“No hang on, Zayn why aren’t you coming lad?” Harry asks

“I don’t like heights so I’m not going” he replies

“Zayn you can still come, here why don’t you use my phone and film it when we do the jumping” I say to him

“If you want me to I will but I guarantee I am not bungee jumping and I am not doing the sky jump.” He says sternly

It takes about ten minutes before we are pulling up to London Bridge, we all pay our way and follow our guide inside. First we have to watch a short film on safety and hazards. Then our guide Paul leads us to the area where we get fitted into heavy jumpsuits, and get the harness on. We then go to the elevator and ride it all the way to the top. Once we step off we can feel the wind whipping in our faces. No wonder they have us wear heavy jumpsuits, it’s a bit chilly up here.

“Who’s jumping first?” Paul asks

“Well since this was these two beauties idea one of them can be the first jumper” Niall says

“AH thanks babe I love you too.” I say to him

“I guess I’ll go first.” I say stepping forward

Niall leans over and kisses me before slapping my butt and sending me on my way.

“See you at the bottom babe.” He says to me

I step forward so Paul and his helper Grace can finish hooking up the ropes and everything else to my harness. When everything is snapped and ready to go Grace grabs my arm and leads me to the edge of the platform.

“Ok dear turn around and face me, now cross your arms over your chest and when I count to three you will just fall backwards ok.” Grace says

“Alright.” I reply

I do as I’m told and before I know it I am freefalling, before coming back up and bobbing for what seems like an eternity before being released and waiting at the bottom with Zayn for whoever jumps next.

“How was love?” Zayn asks me

“That was fucking epic!” I shout a little

The next person to jump is Taylor I can hear her screaming the whole time, Louis followed her, then Harry, Niall and last Liam. After everyone was back on the ground and out of the harness and jumpsuits, we collected our belongings and headed back to the van where Olli was waiting. We drove for about an hour before reaching the Sky Jump grounds. We all make our way inside to watch yet another video. After that we meet our guides, Zayn isn’t going on this one either so he will get to sit at air control and listen to everything and watch on a small screen the video when we jump.

We are jumping two at a time so we decide to mix it up. Niall and Harry are jumping together, Taylor and Liam and myself and Louis. We decided to do it this way just for the thrill of it. Our guide leads us outside to a small barn where we sign forms saying we can’t sue if anything happens. We then get into another jumpsuit and harness set and get a backpack that weighs at least fifteen pounds, it contains the parachute. The pilot Tom comes in and tells us that the plane will depart in ten minutes. After everyone is paired up with the guide who will be strapped to them we make our way and pile into the plane.

“When we reach 80,000 feet we will start jumping, who is going first?”

We take off and sit for about five minutes before the co-pilot throws the door open
“First jumpers please!” he shouts

Niall and Harry stand up and move forward their guides are harnessed to them and on the count of three they jump. I can hear Niall screaming he sounds like a dying goat; It’s kind of funny. Next to jump is Taylor and Liam then Louis and myself. Once we are all back on the ground we go over to purchase the video that was recording from the Go-Pro that was on our helmets. Niall is getting sick and Taylor isn’t looking so well either. I feel great and Louis looks like he’s had a good time as well.

“Never again Cassandra!” Niall says

“Oh poor baby, is my Ni Ni not cut out for adventures?” I say in a baby voice

“No I like a good adventure but I’d like them to be with both feet on the ground from now on” he says

We all pile into the van and make our way back to the hotel where Tay and I are staying.

“Why don’t you guys just check out of the hotel and stay at my house for the last two days you’re here.” Niall says

“I’ll talk to Mary and see if she is ok with that, she’s lied before so we could have time together I don’t see why she wouldn’t now.” I say

Once we get to the hotel everyone goes upstairs to the rooms besides me. I ask to talk to Mary in her office. I explain that Niall has his own house and all the boys stay there and that Taylor and Louis are a thing now. She doesn’t have a problem with it, I knew she wouldn’t she just wants me to stop back and say goodbye before I leave for America in two days. I tell her I will and thank her giving her a big hug and kiss on the cheek.

I get on the elevator and go up to our floor, I walk into the room and hear nothing, I call for Taylor and Niall and still hear nothing. I look all over the room before grabbing the key for Taylor’s room. I walk the short distance to her door and walk in once again all I hear is quiet. I call for Taylor and Louis this time and still hear nothing. So I walk into the bedroom and find all of them passed out in the huge king size bed. Lou and Tay cuddled up on one end of the bed then you have Liam and Zayn sort of spooning each other on the other end, Niall is in the middle sprawled out and Harry is at the bottom of the bed. It’s too cute not to take a pic so I snap a few before posting them to Facebook and Twitter. I take this opportunity to go call my dad.

“Hey baby how are things going?” he asks me

“Great actually, Taylor, I and the boys just got back from bungee jumping and skydiving.

They’re all passed out so I decided to give you a call.” I tell him

“That sounds like fun, I’m glad you like it. How has school been going?” he asks

“It’s been good, its different than how they teach in Iowa but Taylor and I caught on pretty quick. We even made a few friends I think we’ll be keeping in contact with too.” I say

“Excellent I can’t wait for you to come home, I miss you. Hey has Niall spoken to you about anything in particular like living there when you graduate?” I hear him say

“We talked about it, I am thinking about applying to London University and Oxford University. Living with Niall will be a lot cheaper than paying for a dorm on campus and I love him dad. I really really love him. Plus graduation is still three years down the road, so we will see where Niall and I relationship goes.” I explain to my dad

“Cassie I just want you to know that I am ok with that, I will miss you terribly but I see how much you love him and how much he loves you. I spoke with him on the phone for a few hours the other day. He called me which I was shocked at first but he said he had something very important to ask me, grandpa and your brother.” Dad explains

“What? What did he have to speak with you guys about?” I ask

“It’s a secret baby I promised to keep my lips sealed as did your brother and grandpa so don’t go snooping and hounding them either.” Dad says to me

“Fine” I drag out

“Alright baby I love you and can’t wait to see you but it’s getting pretty late here so I am going to grab a bite to eat and hit the sack, goodnight Cass” my dad says

“Night dad love you too” I reply

I sat there for a few minutes thinking to myself. “Why did Niall need to speak to my dad, grandpa and brother?”
