37. Not In A Million, Billion Years.. ~ {Part 1}
{One 1/2 Weeks Later}
Niall’s POV
‘’He’s still moping?’’ Liam asks as he takes a sip of from beer bottle. I do the same before replying. ‘’Yeah, its hard on him.’’ I mumble. ‘’That was the fastest divorce court trail I’ve ever heard of.’’ Sophia sighs as she, Jana, and Liam sit at the island on the stools. I was preparing tonight’s dinner, they were staying down for a few days.
‘’They both knew what they wanted.. they sorted it out, and yeah.. it’s done now.’’ Jana says. ‘’Until the baby gets here.. then they’ll have to go back for custody and all that stuff.’’ Sophia adds in. ‘’Yeah.’’ I sigh, I don’t really like seeing Harry this way, but it is what it is.
‘’I still can’t believe he let her have the house.’’ Liam says with a sigh. ‘’He told Niall that he didn’t want to live their.. the regret and all that.’’ Jana tells them. ‘’I wouldn’t want to live there either.. or sleep in that bed knowing that someone else has been in it.’’ Sophia replies.
‘’How long will he be crashing here?’’ Liam asks. ‘’A few weeks. I told him as long as he needed, but he insisted until he could get back up on his feet.’’ I tell them, turning to face them, really tired of getting the food ready at this point.
‘’She’s.. she’s positive that it’s Harry’s right?’’ Sophia asks, looking at me, then to Jana. ‘’She told me that she was one hundred percent positive it was.’’ Jana nods to her. ‘’If it isn’t.. God only knows what he’ll have to go through.’’ Liam insists.
“He-‘’ I was cut off by the sound of Taylor’s voice and the kitchen door opening. ‘’Dad.. there’s a man at the door.’’ He tells me. ‘’A man? How the hell did anyone get in the gate!’’ Jana panics, jumping off the stool.
‘’Calm down love, I let him in.’’ Harry appeared in the doorway just as Jana’s feet hit the floor. ‘’Who is it?’’ I ask, furrowing my eyebrows lightly as I step away from the island, making my way to him.
‘’Go see.’’ He mumbles, stepping from the door way to let me through. I nod to him as I make my way through the living room and to the foyer. My hand clutches the door knob as I exhale a deep breath I was holding in for a few seconds.
‘’Daddy?’’ I heard one of my many kids say, I’m kidding, I know who said it. It was Tatum. ‘’Hey bud, go back in there.’’ I say, motioning him towards the doorway to the living room. He nods with a smile before running off. I would have said ‘no running in the house, son!’ but I didn’t.
Suddenly, with all the energy I have, I open the door. And.. and I swear to God.. I never expected it.
