08. Split 'Em Up
5:01 a.m.
Jana’s POV
‘’Go get your kids up.’’ Niall groans as he stands up from the edge of the bed, where he had been sitting for about ten minutes. ‘’No! You do it!’’ I whine out as I roll my side of the bed and somehow throw my legs off the bed and stand up, it is too early!
‘’We have eight kids.. lets spilt ‘em.’’ Niall insists as he flicks the lights on. ‘’Uhg! Okay, fine. You get-‘’ ‘’You get the younger ones, I got the older ones.’’ He smirks as he looks over his shoulder at me. ‘’That’s not fair! I was going to say.. oh, whatever.’’ I sigh as I go to the dresser and begin a search for a shirt and some shorts to wear just for now.
‘’I’ll go start on breakfast as soon as I’m done.’’ He says as he opens the door. ‘’You have to take Terra with you!’’ I call out as he steps out of the room. ‘’I know!’’ He replies, but he was soon hurried down the hallway.
‘’Tanner Lee! What on Earth are you doing?’’ I gasp lightly as I open Tanner’s bedroom door to see him sitting in the floor, playing with some toys. ‘’Ooh, just wait ‘til I tell Daddy.’’ I mumble lightly as I walk over to him.
‘’Mama.’’ He smiles as he sees me. There’s no telling how long he’s been up. ‘’C’mon love, let’s go get something to eat.’’ I say as I reach down and grab his hand. ‘’Kay!’’ He says happily as he stands up, he’s Niall’s child for sure.
He was the last one I had to wake up, the rest were already downstairs. I conned Niall into waking up Tiffany, all I have to do is give him a nice back rub tonight on the plane, which I don’t mind because I’ll end up getting one in return.
“Daddy’s not going to be happy when he finds out what you were doing.’’ I say as we start down the hallway. ‘’Where Daddy?’’ He asks. I glance down to see him looking up at me. ‘’He’s downstairs.’’ I say. He doesn’t reply, I wonder what he’s thinking.
‘’Everybody please hurry up, we have to get dressed soon.’’ Niall announces as he walks into the dining room where most of us were at. Tori and Taylor were at the kitchen island eating, they don’t like to be around the younger ones while they eat because they both claim they all are ‘disgusting’, but whatever.
‘’Is Nana goin’ with us, Daddy?’’ Tinley asks as Niall sits down in a chair beside her. ‘’Yes, love. She is.’’ He replies before starting to eat the food he quickly prepared. Pancakes can please this kids, trust me.
And Niall too.
‘’Carolina and Diana are both on their way over here. And, you have to let them through the gate when they get here.’’ I tell Niall. ‘’Alright, I will. Tori’s almost done, she said she was going to get ahead and go get ready, same with Taylor.’’ Niall says.
‘’Okay.’’ I nod as he glances at me before running his eyes over his each of the kids, making sure they aren’t making a mess. ‘’Where’s the dogs at?’’ Niall asks. ‘’Probably in the living room.’’ I shrug as he looks at me.
‘’Toby’s in the living room? Are you crazy or something, Jana?” He laughs lightly. ‘’God no! That best is in the basement! I would not let him on the nice carpet.’’ I assure him. ‘’Alright, I’ll make sure the door’s open before we leave. I’m sure Harry can handle them.’’ He says.
Harry was going to pet sit for us while we were gone. All he had to do was come over three times a day and make sure they have food and water to last until the next day. And, on Wednesday he has to take the smaller ones to the groomer’s and he has to give Toby a bath himself.
I’ve witnessed it, its very funny. Niall was sick one day, and Harry was over for some reason and Toby was muddy. Well, you see I don’t like to give that monster a bath because he gets to happy and likes to tackle you. Niall can take it, he loves the dog. But me, well he’s huge and he likes to lick you on your face, and that’s nasty. So that’s a big no-no for me.
So dear Harry done it for me, and it was pretty, pretty funny.
But anyways, we trust Harry with our pets more than with our kids, honestly. Selena’s going to come over to every other day and just make sure the house isn’t a wreck. And we appreciate them both so very much for that.
And as for Diana and Carolina, they are going to join us. One, because Carolina is our nanny, and she goes almost everywhere we go, especially with all the kids with us. And Diana is the sorta the same, but also the kids’ teacher, so yeah.
They won’t like the time on the plane, but oh well. They have to get their lessons in for the week, no skippys.
