‘’James! Please shut up!’’ Emily and I yell at the same time and he just laughs at us. He was so stupid.

If he heard any of Harry’s songs, he’d memorize a few verses just to sing them and drive me insane because he can’t sing! He sucks!

And the bad thing, he thinks he’s amazing! But trust me, Emily and I have told him he sucks, and he really does. He’s completely horrible.. Horrible.

There was a sudden knock on the door just before it opened. The nurse walked in and smiled at me sweetly before reaching me.

‘’Okay honey, we need to move you off the bed. Do you think you can help me, James?’’ She asks.

I think her name was Cathy, but I wasn’t too sure. James nods and gets up to walk over to me. As she follows, I get a closer look at her badge, yep! I was right.

She was my nurse the entire time I’ve been here, I ought to know her by now. Apparently she knows my brother, which is a shocker.

‘’Okay, Dovie.. relax.’’ James mumbles as he slides his arm around my back after he moves my legs so that they now hang off the edge of the bed.

I couldn’t feel my left leg at all, they had so much medicine and numbing stuff in my that I didn’t even feel once pinch of pain.

But that was a good thing because I had no bone currently. The impact in the car accident, and the fact that apparently my leg got hit hard, crushed my bone in my lower left leg, but my foot was fine. It broken the bone and now the doctors have to find a solution.

Until then though, I’m numb in that leg and relaxed since I can’t feel any pain what so ever. Let me rephrase that, my leg has no pain in it.

But my ears, thanks to James’s horrible singing, is hurting like Hell.

‘’Okay.. easy.’’ Cathy mumbles and I close my eyes. I hated watching them do this for me. I hated it. I couldn’t walk alone, only on crutches.

Once a day I have to get out of the bed and take the crutches in the hallways and Emily comes with me to keep my company as I walk around the hospital, sometimes we just ride the elevators for fun.

I didn’t want to sit in there and rot away slowly while the stupid doctors are trying to fix me already, so I asked if I could get out and they had no probably allowing me to do so.

And I like that I can, its nice to be able to get away for a hour or so every day, usually just after breakfast.

I was at LeBonhuer Children’s Hospital, obviously in Memphis. I’m only at a children’s hospital because they were the closest ER from the accident scene. I wasn’t legal yet so they took me and it’s a good thing because there are some amazing doctors here, simply amazing.

But at the moment they’re sucky because they’re taking forever to fix me already! Suddenly, I feel my butt hit the chair and I sigh as I open my eyes.

James kisses my forehead and pushes a strand of hair behind my ear.

He bends down as he looks into my eyes. There he was, my old stupid brother. He smiles gently before leaning to my cheek and giving me a simple little kiss.

‘’I know you hate it, Dovie.’’ He sighs as he glances at me leg.

I don’t reply in any way, I just stare at him like he’s doing to me.

‘’It’ll be over soon.. before you know it.’’ He smiles gently as I see a tear fall from the corner of his eye.

And that was always his cue to keep strong.

He leans up and goes into the bathroom to do one of two things: He’s going to grief, or he’s going to cry. Or somethings.. both.

“Emily its beautiful.’’ I whisper gently as I stare at my reflection.

I could do my own make up, but Emily was amazing! Besides, she was a makeup artist, so that was even better!

‘’You look beautiful.’’ She smiles at me.

‘’Here, lets take a selfie! My haven’t posted to Insta in a few hours.’’ She laughs as she sits her chin on my shoulder from behind, I was still in my chair.

‘’Duck face!’’ She squeals and I poke my lips out as far as I can go.

Snap. I laugh a little as she immediately looks at it.

‘’Perfect! James, look!’’ She says as he rushes over to the couch to shoe him.

‘’Wonderful.’’ He rolls his eyes with a smile as he gestures her away.

‘’Look! Dovie its amazing!’’ She laughs as she shoes me.

I laugh lightly as I see us in the picture, we looked good doing it though! Isn’t that all that matters? Ha! These days is it. Emily looked amazing today, as always.

She had a sundress on that reached her knees. It was purple and pink chevron, and it looked marvelous on her! Like all of her things do. Her long, amazing brown hair was pulled back into a fishtail braid that hung over her shoulder.

As for me, I was wearing my usual clothes. I wore a white T-shirt and a dark jean shorts that stopped above my mid thighs. And, like I always wear no matter what season it is, a flannel shirt.

Today, my flannel shirt was black and white and went perfectly with the rest of my clothing. I didn’t want to be stuck in a hospital gown for weeks and weeks, so Emily helps me get dressed because I can’t do it alone.

Besides, who does it kill? We’re both girls and its not like she’ll see anything she’s never seen before.

Out of no where, there was another knock on the door. But I knew it wasn’t a nurse or doctor because they would come in as soon as they knock.

‘’Who could that be?’’ I ask curiously, looking up to see that Emily was looking over at James.

He hurries to stand up and pull up his jeans that we slightly falling from his hips.

‘’Probably just a friend of mine, let me look.’’ He mumbles as he walks past me.

He goes to the door and slightly opens it, sticking his head out, but not allowing me to see a thing even though I was directly in front of the door, except just on the other side of the room.

James moves and steps away from the door, leaving it cracked.

‘’James?’’ Emily mumbles gently, I don’t think he heard her though. I keep my eyes locked on the door and soon it starts to open.

And seconds later… I almost died.
