**Harry**

As he watched her walk away he knew he had been mean to her, but he didn’t care. This was how they acted, one said something mean and the other retaliated. But today she hadn’t retaliated. Thinking nothing more of it he simply shrugged and turned to look around the room. Everyone had someone with them, most of the boys had kids. Harry was now thirty years old and he had done nothing that mattered in his life. He didn’t make someone else as happy as Lou made Jo, or like Zayn made Perrie, or how Niall made Yvie. Harry was just a waste of space, or at least that’s how he felt.

“Hey man.” Louis had walked up to him, although he hadn’t noticed because h was so caught up in his own thoughts.

“Hey.” He smiled towards his friend who was studying him like an hawk.

“You know you look sad.” Louis had a playful tone to his voice, and Harry tried to smile. “You’re not, are you?” In an instant his tone changed and he sounded worried.

“Ehm…” Harry looked down at his glass and shrugged. He actually didn’t know how to respond to his friend’s question. Was he sad? He felt a little sad, but not enough to bring Lou’s day down. “I think I’m just tired.” He nodded to his own words and swirled the liquor in his glass.

“Oh okay.” Harry saw Lou nod in the corner of his eyes and then stop. Lifting his gaze to look at his once upon a time best friend, he noticed the pure happiness in his eyes.

“You’re really happy aren’t you?” The question came as a surprise for both Louis and Harry. Harry didn’t know why he asked it, but he hadn’t realized how happy his friend was until this very moment.

“Yeah I am.” Louis nodded and looked over to where the girls were standing. “I thought that I couldn’t be happier than I was five years ago when I got her back.” He slowly shook his head with a radiant smile on his lips. “But I was so wrong. Today I’m a thousand times happier than that.” Lou lifted up his glass to toast with Harry and Harry responded by doing the same. “To finding more happiness as the years go by, huh?” Their glasses clinked together and they both drank.

“What’s up with Dina by the way? She’s acting like a bitch.” Harry eyed the girl that was occupying his mind and Louis laughed.

“Jo thinks it has to do something with that she hates being alone.” Louis shrugged and leaned against the bar. “I really don’t know though, I think she acted rather pleasant when I spoke to her.” Harry snorted and downed the last of his scotch.

“Pleasant, is that even in her vocabulary?” He looked at the girl with dark eyes, even though he found her annoying at the moment he also wanted to be near her, a feeling that confused him.

“What is it with you two?” Harry snapped his eyes away from the dark body before him and looked at his friend.

“What do you mean?” Harry was confused as to what his friend was referring to, but it could be a million things.

“You visited her more often than Jo did in prison. And now that she’s out, you both act like strangers.” Lou sounded slightly agitated and he looked the same. “What happened between you that made you guys act so differently?” Louis waited for an answer but Harry didn’t have one. Harry could only shrug, which only irritated his friend more. Sighing loudly, Lou walked away without another word.

Harry didn’t understand why he had to interfere with stuff that wasn’t his business, but now he was wondering why he and Dina was acting like this. During the years the two had gotten rather close but the second she got out, things changed. And he couldn’t figure out if it was her or him that had changed. Harry looked at the girl once more and decided that no matter what, he was going to find out. He hated when things were weird, and they definitely were now.
