Chapter 8

Harry's POV:

I wake up and realize my arm is across Beth's stomach. I quickly remove it, get out of bed and put my clothes on. I walk over to the window and stare at the crappy view they give us.

What is happening to me? I would've never saved Sky or anybody else if that had happened to them. I drove her all the way to London to keep her away from danger, I easily could have taken her to my house and she would’ve been just as safe. Why did we come all the way here?

I can't have feelings for Beth. She's barely talked to me, but I have seen the way she handles people, like Sky. She doesn't let them really get to her unless it involves someone she loves. She's smart, she doesn't realize it, but she's so beautiful.

I'm snapped out of my thoughts by a vibration coming from the table next to where Beth is sleeping. She wakes up and grabs it.

"Hello." She says sleepily, not even opening her eyes.

She immediately sits up and probably remembers where she is. She looks at me and smiles. Why does she look so damn happy? She could've died last night.

"Hi mum." She said into the phone. I had some of the boys go to her house and make sure she's safe too. They didn't let her see them or anything, then she would know. They just made sure no one was around or waiting for her. Her mum, I made sure her a lady I have never met before was safe because of this tired girl sitting in front of me.

Beth's POV:

"Bethy! Where are you?" My mum screams into the phone.

"Oh shoot mum, sorry! I forgot! Addie and I were hanging out last night and I fell asleep at her house. We're going out for a bit today. I'm not sure when I'll be home." I lie to her. I see Harry smirk. I put the phone on speaker and text Addie to cover for me.

"Okay honey that's fine! But please come home soon! My boss is sending me to America for a week on Monday!" She says.

"What? Really?" I ask, barley able to get the words out. I love my mum. It's hard for me with her being gone all the time. I need her a lot right now. I don't think I could tell her any of this but still.

"Yes really! Come home soon!"

"Okay mum. Bye." I say.

"Bye love." I hang up the phone.

"Harry, when will we be able to go back?" I ask Harry moving and standing next to him.

"Honestly Beth. I don't know. I don't know when it will be safe for you. I'm getting updates from my boys every couple hours. Tate and Colton are still out there and they are looking for you." He says.

"Why?" I look at him but he won't look back.

"Because they think that-" He pauses.

"What? They think what?"

"They think that you're my girlfriend. And not like Sky, but like a girlfriend I actually care about and well, love." I'm shocked. No wonder he has been feeling so bad.

"Can't we just tell them we're not together?" I ask desperately.

"Liam already tried, they think it's just an excuse to stop coming after you. Telling them that makes them want you more. I am so sorry Beth. I really am." He says and runs his hands through his hair.

"Harry really, it's okay. No one ever has done anything this nice for me before. You saved my life and you're continuing to keep me safe. I couldn't ask for anything more. So thank you." I smile and hug him. He hugs me back, we stay like that for a while.

"So what are we going to do?" I ask.

"I just told you Beth we-"

"I meant, what are we going to do in London?" I laugh.

"Oh, well I have absolutely no idea." He says and we laugh together.
