Bad

Beth's POV:

By the time it was finally lunchtime, I was starving. I enter the cafeteria and look for Addie.

Addie and I have been best friends for as long as I can remember. Our dads used to be best friends so whenever they would get together Addie and I would go to just hang out. It was like that almost every weekend until my parents got divorced. Dad got a job in America and wanted me to go with him but I didn't want to leave mum or Addie. So they divorced. Although, I don't think that they have been in love for years before it happened. That's when Addie and I started to become like sisters. We were about thirteen when Addie started to date. She wouldn't go out without me unless I went or if I couldn't go. But sometimes I knew she wanted to be alone with her date so I would just tell her that I couldn't go. Soon she started going through guys really fast just to find the perfect one so she pretty much stopped. That happened about the middle of junior year. She'll go on a date every once in a while but usually, they won't last.

As for me, I don't like going on dates or going to parties. I don't really like the whole high school part of my life. I don't go to dances, I don't go to sports events, I don't like doing these kinds of things. So what I'm really saying is that I don't really like people who are different from me. I know you're thinking: "Why is she best friends with Addie then?" She is the only acception. When my dad left I didn't miss him much. I never really cared about our relationship. He was never here, so it's like he never even left. But Addie was.

Anyways, I find Addie at our usual table in the middle of the cafeteria.

"Hey." I say and sit down across from her.

"Hi, how has your day been so far? Any drama?" She asks.

"Well I almost had to sit next to Mandy Wilson in chemistry." I say opening my lunch.

"Ew, and?"

"I ended up sitting next to Harry Styles instead." She almost spits out her food.

"What!" She says.

"Why is this such a big deal?" I say eating one of my chips.

"If Sky finds out that Harry even talks to you she'll make your life a living hell." She whispers to me.

"C'mon Ads, you really think she's gonna ruin my life because I'm lab partners with her boyfriend, who I'm pretty sure cheated on him over the summer!" I say putting my sandwich back in my lunch bag.

"Just be careful okay. Don't do anything stupid." She says.

"Yeah, because I'm the person who always does something stupid." I say. She just rolls her eyes and the bell rings.

"Whatever. See you after school okay?" She says putting her lunch into her expensive bag. Oh yeah Addie's family is also pretty wealthy. But they don't brag.

"Okay." I say. And walk to class.
