Chapter 2
Alyssa’s P.O.V
Sunday, 19th April 2015
I woke up at around 7am and had a load of tweets asking me how I’d gotten both Niall and Harry to follow me in one night.
“@AlyssaHamilton: All will be explained in tonight’s vlog guys :*” Once I’d tweeted, I went and got my breakfast and then sat down to edit my main channel video and my vlog for today. By the time I’d finished editing, it was 10.30. I had a shower, washed my hair and got dressed, before doing my hair and makeup. I’m not doing much today, I’m just going to have a chill day, maybe get ahead of myself and film another video. I sat down at my laptop and added the opening and closing of my videos and then uploaded them and set them to go live at 7pm for my main channel and 6 for my vlog. Once that was done, I picked up my vlogging camera.
“Good morning guys! It’s currently about 11.30, and I’ve spent my morning editing my videos from yesterday, which went up yesterday for you, so go and check them out, I’ll leave the links in the description box. I’m not doing much today so sorry if this vlog is really short, I’m just gonna chill at home, maybe watch a few movies. But yeah, I just wanted to tell you what I’ve done this morning,” I smiled at the camera and then turned it off. I had watched a couple of films by the time my phone went off signalling a DM.
“@Harry_Styles: Hey, really cool to meet you last night :) The boys and I are in town for a couple of months and I was wondering if you wanted to go out for dinner or something?”
Okay, I’m dreaming right now. This is NOT happening.
“@AlyssaHamilton: Of course! Where do you want to go?x”
I swear these last two days have been a dream. I must be dreaming, any second now I’m just going to wake up.
“@Harry_Styles: There’s a place just down the road from me called Spaniards Inn, it’s really nice, do you wanna go there?x”
Oh my god, wake me up already.
“@AlyssaHamilton: Sure, when?x”
“@Harry_Styles: I was thinking tonight, if that suits you? You can drive over here and I’ll meet you there?x”
Okay, I’m coming to terms now. This is real, and I’m arranging to meet up with Harry Styles for dinner. Eeek!
“@AlyssaHamilton: See you there :) Don’t want to sound weird but is this a date?x”
What the fuck Alyssa, why would you ask him that? That’s him gone. Oh my god. I screwed up.
“@Harry_Styles: Yeah why not?x”
Okay, maybe I didn’t screw up, but I know I have to get ready, and I may as well film a date look video while I’m doing it. I collected the make-up I’m going to use and all my hair stuff and took my makeup off and took my hair down. I went into my spare bedroom which I use as my filming room and turned on the lights and set my camera to focus.
“Hey guys, Alyssa here! Today I’m gonna show you how to get the perfect date look. It’s something I’ve been getting requests for for a while and I’ve finally decided to do it. I’m gonna do my hair first to get it out of my face and then I’m gonna do my make-up. Right, let’s get started!” I did my hair in curls and pinned back the bits at the front and then moved onto make-up. “I’m going to use Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in the shade 100 Ivory.” I held it up to the camera and applied it, looking in the mirror that is placed under the camera to make sure I blended it all in well. I completed all of my make-up and went and got changed into my outfit before going back and doing my outro.
“Right, this is my date look! I hope you all like it and if you recreate it tag me on Twitter or Instagram and use the hashtag #AlyssaDateLook. I hope you enjoyed this video, give it a like, leave a comment and subscribe if you’re new, goodbyeeee,” I blew a kiss at the camera and got up to turn it off.
I turned off my lights and went and sat in the kitchen, texting Joe.
To: Sugg:): You’ll never guess who I’m going out with tonighttt! Eeekkk!x
From: Sugg:): Dylan O’Brien from your reaction x
To: Sugg:): Nope, better, Harry!x
From: Sugg:): Oh my god, have a good time, tell me all about it when you get back!x
From: Sugg:): That was my impression of a girl, accurate?x
To: Sugg:): Very, byeee :* x
I checked my Twitter again and saw that Harry had messaged me his number. I saved it in my phone, texted him so he’d have my number and then locked my phone.
From: Harry:): Meet me at Spaniards Inn in half an hour?x
To: Harry:): Okay, see you then x
I picked up my bag and left my flat, locking the door behind me.
“Hey guys,” I started to vlog as I got into my car. “I just wanted to tell you that I’m going out for dinner, but I’m not going to vlog dinner. I thought I’d just talk to you as I drive there because I’m going to end my vlog before dinner and I don’t want it to be about 2 minutes long.” I said and started to talk about random things, like how good the concert was last night, and how it was nice to hang out with Joe, Zoe and Alfie again. It took me about 20 minutes to get to the place and I only talked for about 10 of that, and then I drove around a bit because I was early. When it got to an acceptable time, I drove back and went inside. Harry was sitting at a table already with a beer.
“You have a Boxster?” was the first thing he asked me as I walked over to him. He stood up and kissed me on the cheek and pulled my chair out for me too though.
“Yeah, this YouTube thing pays pretty well.” I laughed, as he sat back down.
“You are so taking me for a drive when we’ve eaten,” He said.
“Why? Don’t you have your own Porsche?” I questioned.
“I have a 911 Sport Classic, I’ve always wanted a Boxster and I just wanna see how you drive,”
“And criticise me because I’m a woman yeah?” I laughed; Joe always tells me how to drive when he’s in the car with me. It drives me mad but it’s okay because I love Joe, as a friend obviously.
“Nah, I won’t do that. I haven’t known you long enough,” he joked as the waiter came over and took my drinks order.
“Can I have a vodka and coke please?” I asked and he nodded, walking off. “Don’t worry, I’m only gonna have one, it’s well within the limit,” I told Harry, seeing his concerned expression. My phone started buzzing and I knew it was 6 and that my vlog had gone up.
“Someone’s popular.” Harry laughed as my hand practically shook from the notifications. I put my phone on Do Not Disturb and put it back in my bag.
“Well 5 Seconds of Summer featured in my vlog yesterday and I also mentioned that I met a certain Niall and Harry from One Direction, so yeah,” I told him. He nodded and I looked at the menu, deciding what I wanted to eat just as the waiter came over. I gave him my order and Harry said his before turning back to me.
“You haven’t mentioned this in your vlog have you?” He asked. I shook my head.
“I said I was coming out for dinner but didn’t say who with, everyone’s gonna think it’s with Joe. I do like to have a bit of a private life.” I said and Harry nodded.
“I’m glad, the last thing I need is more rumours, management are pissed off with me as it is.”
“Well Jalyssa is a thing, and it’s really weird because Joe is like a brother to me, I don’t know why everyone says there’s such a connection between us, other than when we deliberately do it to wind them up.” I laughed, and Harry did too.
“I have a lot of friends who are girls and I’m dating them all apparently. This is actually the first date I’ve been on in about a year.” He admitted and I smiled.
“I’m honoured. I may be a bit less famous than some of your previous dates though,” I said and he nodded.
“I’ve had a few, but the more famous, the higher maintenance I’ve discovered.” He laughed and I did too. It’s probably true.
