Undercover

I officially believe that was a dream. Louis has said nothing about it so I just brushed it off. I can’t be close to these people. Ever. I have ruled out that I need to avoid talking to them inside and outside of the house. It was a week later and I have been very distant lately. and I guess Harry noticed.
“You need to start socializing more often..” Harry says as if he was reading my mind “I get that you’re getting used to the whole new family thing but, you could try y’know.” Harry adds and I frown at him
“I don’t want to get close to people that will leave. and your parents are literally just listening to my parents dying wish.” I mumble
“Katie. Don’t say that My parents really like you..we all do really. You’re really funny and explain stuff to us in class.” He adds on and I look at him eyebrows raised
“Your parents? Josh treats me like i’m a child. And Chloe and I don’t really ever talk because I’m always fighting with your dad.” I say rolling my eyes
“My dad treats you like a kid because you are only 16 and act like the adult your parents trained you to be.” Harry says glaring defending his parents
“Don’t talk about my parents like you know them. i act like an adult because children are immature and foolish. I am mature. it’s hard to be treated like I don’t have a choice.” I snap and we continue to glare at each other at the breakfast table.
“Whoa whats with that glaring match?” Josh asks walking in
“I’m confronting Katie on her distance with us lately. I told her to try to get used to us but she freaked out.” Harry frowns and my glare deepens
“He was also trying to explain why you treat me like a child. and brought my parents into it” I say to Josh.
“Okay enough.” Chloe steps in and I jump at the loudness in her tone. Not once has she stepped in. “You three need to shut the fuck up! ANd get along. Katie I know this is fucking hard for you but suck it up! We are trying to adjust with this new daughter thing too! Haven’t you thought of that?” She snaps “And Josh. She is an independent girl. Her parents were fucking gone 95% of the time traveling on business and the other 5% was spent on training her. Haven’t you thought of how she feels now that her whole fucking world is literally different. New setting. New rules. New family?” Chloe shouts turning red in frustration “And Harry when i say to shut up I mean it. It has been a week! Seven fucking days! Do you think she is just going to open up to us and become closer to people she doesn’t know after only having her parents and herself for 16 years?” She says finally “NOW I want you guys to shut the FUCK UP and suck it up. Because I will personally groud you all. End of discussion. am I clear?” She shouts
We all stare at her in shock.
“I said am I fucking CLEAR!” She screams
“Clear.” Harry and Josh say wide eyed
Her eyes fall to me and I remain blank faced, “Cristal.” I mumble
“Good. NOW. Harry drive to school with Katie. Katie you will try from now on. Just try okay? Okay. No motorcycle for school anymore. This can be a bonding exercise. Now go.” She says leaving no room for argument.
I get up first and walk out. I grab my bag and go to the car and sit waiting for Harry.
The whole way it was silent, not even a radio playing. I stared out the window and watched the school get close and closer. Right when he pulls into the parking space I bolt, not even giving him time to stop the car.
Too bad we have the same fucking classes.
I see the guys around mine and Harry’s locker once I get inside.
“Hey Katie! Where is Harry?” Louis asks I shrug and open my locker grabbing my book for first hour.
“You okay?” Zayn asks and I nod forcing on a big fake smile while Harry walks inside
“I’m fan-fucking-tastic. I love playing perfect with this family.” I roll my eyes
“We are not trying to make you perfect!” Harry spit shoving me so he can get to his locker
“I beg to differ.” I glare
“They just want us to trust each other.” he says softly not wanting to fight clearly
“Trust is earned.” I say “And you have done nothing to earn mine but yell at me and treat me like fucking shit.” I say shoulder checking him and walking to my first hour class.
I faintly hear the sound of them whispering about me. But i don’t understand. I walk into my first class and sit by the window.I stare outside of it and something catches my attention. A girl. And a group of boys..Or should I say men. The girl seems to be struggling and I instantly shoot into action running for the door. She was in one of my classes. but I didn’t recognize the guys from anywhere. So I knew this had trouble written all over it.
When I get outside I see her begin felt up and lead to the woods out back,
“Hey! Let go of her!” I call out to them. They only smirk.
“Get her.” One says and two run for me. I let them grab my and carry me over the the other girl who was crying lightly.
Once they let me go I spring into action. I punch one in the face and then elbow another in the gut then nose. They both fall in pain. I kick one in the side and flip the guy next to him. The four guys were all groaning on the ground and the girl was full on sobbing in fear now.
I look down at my nail and frown, “Awe! I totally broke my nail.” I frown and this makes the girl chuckle “Are you okay?” I ask looking her up and down searching for injuries
“I’m fine. They were telling me they were going to um..” She begins to shake again and sob she wraps her arms around me and chants excessive thank yous to me.
“Your welcome. It was no-”
“Bitch!” one of the guys on the ground spits pulling a gun. In that split second he whips it out my world freezes. I shove the girl out of the way and she falls to the ground with a scream. I try to grab it but he pulls the trigger and a bullet flies right into my gut.
I hear shouts and screams but can’t seem to register in my mind what just happened. I turn to the front door I came from and see Teachers and students watching in horror. I see Harry and the guys running over and the school security running for me.
I see the guys lock and load aiming for the body of people. And something inside of me clicked. I spring into action and tackle the man with the gun. I pin him. I twist his hand and make him drop the gun. Then I finish my job. I punch him with all the might I have left. This leaves him knocked out.
“Katie!” Harry scoops me into his arms and we sit on the floor “You got shot!” He panics tears in his eyes. I laugh and nod trying to stand up.
“Please sit down miss.” An officer says taking me from Harry who was flipping out
“I’m fine.” I glare at the man I didn’t know. “I only got shot.” I roll my eyes
I stand up and look at the four knocked out boys on the floor. And then the crying girl.
“Where did you learn that stuff.” The cops ask
“I just...Knew I had to help. She was going to get rapped. And you were going to get shot. SO I stopped it.” I shrug not making it a big deal. Thi is my job. What I have been training for.“We need to get you to the hospital.” Harry says pointing to my gushing wound.
“Yeah.” I mumble applying pressure
“Holy crap how are you not passed out?” Zayn asks steadying my wobbly form
“I’m high on adrenaline right now. Give me a minute and I’ll be in immense pain followed my me bleeding more and eventually passing out from blood loss.” I say casually
“Oh my god.” Niall says in a concerned voice. I hear sirens and see black spots and begin to doze off and fall over
“Katie?” Zayn asks when I fall into his arms “KATIE!” He says frantically “Stay with us Katie.” i hear him say lastly before passing out.

Notes

I deleted the chapters. I was getting really far off my plot so I just rewinded a bit.
