Flower Crowns

Home.

"I hear homes the safest place."

I shot up straight from the propped up velvet seat, covered in sweat and breathing heavily. My bloodshot red eyes where throbbing to keep up. I looked all around me, to see where I was. I put my hand on the window near me, the images flashing back to my head.

I didn't know how I was going to go back to sleep after the nightmare I had just envisioned. To my left, was Bryn sleeping shirtless.

I gripped on the handle only to hear a clicking noise and smeared the fogginess coming from the window screen. I stepped my foot on the concrete floor and closed the door as I began walking away.

I tried looking from left to right as my eyes were tense and blurry. I rubbed my eyes to see a clearer view.

I had the hugest headache coming from the hangover that hit me when I woke. I put my right arm up on a cold brick wall that lead to an alleyway.

There were 3 men, fighting over a plastic bag that had...wait what?

"I asked for it today, I need it now," the teenage boy said. He wore a black beanie that made his curls stick out. He wore all black; black shirt and black tight pants that shows how toned his legs were. When he was speaking you could see a flash of his abs, he also had broad shoulders.

"I-i don't h-h-have what you n-need," a short guy with weird-looking color pants said. He was standing behind someone that seemed to be his bodyguard...he definitely needs a bodyguard with his size and stuttering issue.

I wanted to see a better look of the teenager. I stepped closer hiding behind a ramp that covered my petite body to hover over. I didn't want any of them to see me so, I slowly looked towards him and the wrapped plastic bag. It had a white looking powder in it...wait...shit...that's drugs, omg weed.

I wanted to quickly walk away but, as smooth as it'd ever get I hear the bodyguard tell me to stop. I turn and witness the teenage boy punch the short fat dude in the face. The bodyguard between the teenager and I looking between who to go to first.

Punch after punch, blood after blood, the teen kept hitting and kicking, only to suck the life out of him. I limped over to the teenager and made eye contact with him.

As I stared into his eyes, I saw coldness in his eyes, as the piercings and tattoos made my insides shiver. There was no emotion when he stared down at me like a little kid asking for chocolate. He turned away immediately as I looked down to see that I still had a grip on his firm wrist.

"You're going to kill him, it's not worth it," I said in a calm voice.

He looked between the almost dead guy to me with a look of filled anger in him. He kicked him a last time and spit on him to tell him "Next time, next time I swear."

He grabbed my wrist yanking me out of the alley and out on the side of the sidewalk. My eyes traced his tall slender body, from his messy brown curly hair down to his brown combat boots. The closer he came, the better view I had of him. His eyes were green, a strange color for a man so dark. Lilac bags hung under them, ageing him but, he couldn't be quite older than me. I took a deep breath inhaling his sharp smell of cologne. I found myself gagging at the powerful scent. He turned away, shoving his hands in his pocket, letting a breath out.

I started walking away, it seemed in that instance that he didn't care where I went or if a car came to hit me, he would nothing.

"Wait, where are you going?" he asked in a tiny voice.

I was surprised he speaked, where there was an awkward tension.

"Home," I said with a confused look placed on my face.

"Where is home," he asked.

I kept repeating the words home wondering if he understood what I meant. Or where was home? It felt as if I was asking myself that question. You know it felt like amnesia hitting me for the first time.

"Are you okay?" he asked

My head was jumbling, and soon enough I was the one asking where my home was. I knew it sure as hell wasn't in Bryn's arms or my daddy's mansion.

I wanted to cry because the alcohol had hit my brain in so many ways not even pain relievers could help.

''Lets go somewhere, somewhere far away from here, where they accept girls in flower crowns and tie-dye skirts instead of sugar daddies and diamond rings.''

''You're crazy, you know that. Actually, you're insane.''

''Only for a night.''
