What Goes Around Comes Back Around

I woke up with a pair of arms wrapped around me. I smiled as the room seemed familiar to Luke’s room. How did I end up here though? I shifted in Luke’s grasp and felt him move. Shortly after his lips were pressed against my head and hugged me tighter.

‘morning Wills’ he croaked

‘morning’ I greeted back ‘how did I get here?’

‘you fell asleep on a park bench’ he explained and I pressed my lips together ‘not really a safe place to sleep you know…who knows what could have happened to you’

I turned around to face him. He didn’t look to happy with me. I was not having this talk with him, he had no right telling me what to do or not.

‘just don’t start Luke’

‘you want me to ship the whole conversation off?’

‘in fact I do’

‘I won’t’ he defended

‘I’m not talking to you when you are getting like this’ I pushed myself out of his arms and wanted to climb out of bed, but Luke grabbed my arm

‘why did you leave without telling anyone?’

‘I didn’t feel like staying’ I replied harsh

‘why do you complicate things Wills?’

‘I complicate things? Luke are you even hearing yourself?’

‘I don’t want to loose you and I’m being honest about it. Is John’s offer worth more to you than reconnecting to what we had or are having now?’

‘don’t put it like that and please just stop it already’

‘stop what?’

‘rephrasing everything and putting it a way that just twists up the whole situation’ I sighed and sat back on the bed.

‘I don’t, I’m just saying whatever I’m thinking’

‘I do too and I want you to stop’

‘I want to talk to you like an adult and you keep shutting me out and try to push me away’ Luke said, sitting up and leaning his head against the headboard ‘Rose doesn’t want you to go. She didn’t say anything to Calum and he got so pissed off he started kissing with this girl I met in Nandos the other day’

‘he did what?’ I yelled loudly

‘I will tell you after you tell me what is going on inside your head’ Luke spoke

‘I don’t want to tell you’

‘I know you don’t, but I will just listen’

‘no you won’t’

‘yes I will. I will borrow you my ears for a bit, so you can get the things off your chest’

‘no comment?’

‘no comments’ Luke repeated, shaking his head and I sighed

‘I really want to do this and take John upon his offer. I want to do this for me; I want to do it, because I know I deserve it. I want to make the music I want to make and not because of what people think would sound great’ I sighed again ‘I haven’t told the other yet, because I don’t like it when others try to convince me otherwise. So I also hate it when you try to convince me to do otherwise. Why do you do that Luke? You out of all people should know what it feels like when someone recognizes your talent and wants you to be heard by the public. Why don’t you want to let me go?’

I was waiting for a reply, but he wasn’t speaking. He made a zipping up his lips motion with his hands and I slapped his chest gently.

‘you want me to speak now?’ Luke asked and I nodded ‘I was only going to borrow you my ears, not my mouth’

‘I said everything that I wanted to say’

‘alright then’ Luke sighed ‘it might sound selfish, but I don’t want to miss out on another minute of spending time with you. I don’t want to miss your kisses and your touch, I don’t want to miss being with you. I just don’t want to share you with anybody else. You can say we can work because of Skype, face time and whatever other multimedia form there might be, but it won’t be the same’

‘why can’t I do this for myself?’

‘I’m not saying that. I know you have talent and I know it would be a waste for the world not to hear about you and your pretty songs. I know most of your stuff is inspired by me pissing you off in whatever way possible. I’m just not ready for you to go away so fast’

‘it’s only six months’ I spoke

‘six months’ Luke raised his eyebrow at me

‘I’m on a try-out contract if I would take the offer’

‘which basically means what?’

‘I will write record and do interviews to promote myself. My music gets tested on the public and if I do well enough they will give me a permanent contract’ I explained

‘take it’ Luke whispered

‘take what?’

‘take the offer and do it. It’s only six months, we will find a way’ he assured

This was a complete unexpected change in his behaviour and I didn’t know what I had to say back. My jaw had dropped and I was gobsmacked by his words. He pulled me into him and we intertwined our fingers, immediately starting to play with one another fingers. Before I could even question anything Luke’s phone had started buzzing and he picked up.

‘hello…yeah…alright…I’ll be right over’ he hung up and let go of me, jumping out of bed

‘what is going on?’

‘we have to go…Michael and Peyton are at the police station’ Luke said

‘what for?’ I questioned

‘I don’t know, Michael didn’t say’ Luke shrugged, running around the room putting on different clothing pieces.

As soon as we were ready, we headed out and were off to the police station. Adam and John would definitely have a freak out and be raged about our disobedient behaviour. We went out, even when we weren’t supposed to and we caused even more headlines, which would probably get me and girls get fired anyway.

Some things weren’t even going to be questioned right now. This night out had been very eventful…even more eventful, then I could have imagined. No more questions and everything pushed aside, Michael and Peyton had be picked up safely. Questions about other situations would be next.

Notes

I meant to update earlier today, but yeah, internet and word have made me angry. Don't get me wrong, I love Germany, but the wifi connection is horrible.
