What Goes Around Comes Back Around

My phone woke me up by ringing. I groan and turn to face it looking at the time, 5:33, I check what was happening next to see a missed call from Luke. Groaning I call him back,

'Willow!' He exclaims,

'Hi Luke' I grumble,

'Are you ready?' he asks

'For what?' I start to sit up,

'We were going to go up to the roof early today' Luke tells me,

'I didn't mean at 5:30!' I complain,

'Well your up now so get you ass down here' Luke finalizes ending the call. I get dressed and slowly creep my way out of the room with my guitar and notebook, getting an apple on the way out.



'Hey' Luke whispers when I get the the ladder that leads to the roof,

'Hey Lucas' I tease him and he gives me a glare,

'Why does everyone call me that?!' he whines holding my guitar off me so I can start climbing,

'Because we know you hate it' I say poking my tongue as I climb,

'I do...' he says and we climb to the top helping each up. It was still pitch black so Luke turned the switch and one spotlight comes on pointing at were a mat lies out,

'When did you fall asleep last night?' I ask to break the silence,

'Umm maybe 11 an hour after you left' he replies,

'Did you work on anything?'

'I started a new one and finished Heartbreak Girl' his face lights up at the thought. He sits down on the mat and takes out some of the paper he used the other day,

'Can I hear the new one?' I ask causally sitting next to him. Luke hands me a piece of paper which has been scrunched up. I read through it a smile forming on my face as I grab my guitar he does the same and I start picking a tune,

'Back in high school we used to take it slow, Red lipstick on and high heel stilettos, Had a job downtown working the servo, Had me waiting in line couldn't even let go' Luke sings looking down at the paper trying to memorise the next couple lines, 'Cause I never wanna be that guy
Who doesn't even get a taste, No more having to chase, To win that prize' He sends me a smile and puts his guitar down,

'Thats a good start' I encourage him and try a different tune on my guitar,

'Do you have anything else?' He asks curiously

'Umm how about...' I start, thinking of other lyrics, 'You're just a little bit out of my limit, It's been two years now you haven't even seen the best of me,And in my mind now I've been over this a thousand times, And it's almost over, Let's start over' I sing looking at him curiously,

'That sounds great!' He exclaims, 'How 'bout next we could sing this; Back in high school we used to make up plans, Called you up one day to meet split ends'

'And then back to the pre-chorus; 'Cause I never wanna be that guy, Who doesn't even get a taste, No more having to chase, To win that prize' I sing smiling at him and he smiles back,

'It good' he nods,

'No, it's great'



We finish the song and start to move on to another one when I fall asleep in the darkness,

'Wills' Luke whispers shaking me a bit and I groan,

'Yea?'

'Look' he simply says and I open my eyes to see the sky orange and a red shade,

'Wow' I breathe,

'Yea I thought you would like it' he smiles and loops an arm over my shoulder uncertainly,

'When did I fall asleep?' I ask turning towards him,

'About an hour ago.. we just started Kiss me' he says

'Kiss me?' I ask oblivious,

'It goes like; So kiss me, kiss me, kiss me, And tell me that I'll see you again, Cause I don't know, If I can let you go' He sings reminding me,

'Oh that one' I say leaning on his shoulder,

'Willow?' he say extremely uncertain,

'Yea Luke' I ask softly,

'Kiss me?' and I laugh leaning forward
