What Goes Around Comes Back Around

My heart was broken and I knew Luke had to go for Kara; I was here for other business. I was here on album business, though I couldn’t help but feel a little broken hearted. Instead Peyton wanted the insides on what happened with Luke. We grabbed our stuff and headed out of here for lunch, making our way into the busy streets.

‘where do you want to go for lunch?’ Peyton asked

‘I don’t mind’ I shrugged

‘Nando’s?’ Peyton suggested pointing at the famous and familiar chicken sign

‘let’s go chick’ I joked

‘whatever…I just love Nando’s I can’t describe my love for them’ Peyton said, pulling me along, walking faster.

We headed faster and we were about to head in, when I thought I saw a raged Luke walking away, getting into a familiar black car. I wasn’t sure though, I was dragged inside, probably not moving fast enough for Peyton. We sat down at a table and a waitress came up to us. Her sweet smile and blond hair were so familiar, but instead I shrugged it off.

‘can I get your order ladies?’ she smiled at us friendly. It bothered me that I couldn’t pin down from where I knew her.

‘can I have a sprite and a pita classic?’ Peyton smiled, not even having glanced at the menu for a second

‘will do and for you?’ the waitress asked

‘can I have a coke and a classic chicken wrap please?’ I asked and the waitress giggled, nodding her head. I gave her a confused look, was she laughing at Peyton and I.

‘sorry, not laughing at you, but I had the exact same order the last hour from this famous guy’ she giggled, that’s when it came to mind, the cute giggle, the smile, the face and you name it.

‘Katie?’ I asked

‘yeah?’ she questioned back ‘Willow?’ her questioning look changed to a more friendly face

‘I thought I recognized you’ I smiled ‘how have you been?’

‘I’ve been good, how have you been? Heard you dropped out’

‘that’s years ago’ I waved it off

‘I’m sorry, but I’m really hungry and if you guys want to catch up please do it after this. I need to eat or I will eat both your legs’ Peyton whined

‘short fuse, we should catch up some time!’ I nodded

‘how long are you here for?’

‘in town, I don’t think for a long while anymore. John wants us to go to America soon with him and the guys’

‘5 seconds of summer right?’ Katie smiled widely

‘you’re a fan?’

‘sort of yeah’ she nodded ‘Luke was the one who ordered the same thing you just did…’ Peyton cleared her throat ‘I’ll be back in a bit’ she walked away quickly

Luke had been here and he had ordered the same thing as I had. What are the odds? I smiled a little and I did see Luke then…or was it not him? With whom did he go? Kara wasn’t the type to eat here; she would have protested or ordered a salad as an excuse not to “gain” weight.

‘rude Peyton’ I shook my head in disbelief

‘she’s not paid to catch up with you…she gets paid to serve food’

‘true, but still rude’

‘who is she anyway?’

‘she used to be one of my best friends, not high school, just primary school, she moved away and changed school and we sort of lost touch’ I explained with hand gestures.

‘here you go girls’ Katie smiled as she placed our drinks in front of us ‘Also I’ve written up my number on the little card, if you feel like catching up sometime…just give me a call or text’ I nodded and Katie headed off again, walking to another table.
