Fanfic Plot Holes and Dumb Moments

Ok. Those fan fictions where the girl is supposed to hide her identity from people because she is hiding from abusiveness, kidnapped, or a spy or something all have that one thing. MAKEOVER.

This isn't for all of those stories. Some have a rigorous makeover with professionals and whatever. Then there are these one:

Boys: We need to change your whole look.

OG: ok.

Boys: *dye her hair from light brown to slightly darker brown

OG: Oh my gosh. Is that even me?

----no one recognizes the girl until it is essential to the plot---

um ok. People in your life really must not look at you like ever. Are you unloved? Because you look ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME! YOU ARE THE SAME PERSON AND HOW THE HECK IS NO ONE RECOGNIZING YOU!

Not only do fan fiction people have no common sense, THEY HAVE NO EYES EITHER.

Then about 5 or so chapters after, they will be recognized by an old boyfriend or something. Then they are all like "how did they do that?

Someone you havent seen in years recognizes you better than your parents. Your life sucks.
