Monica woke up in her warm bed. The birds chirped lightly outside her open window. A slight breeze floated across her face. Her face was stiff from the dry tears she cried the night before. She got out of her bed and stretched her long neck. Moni walked to the vanity that stood tall on her wall. Her pink hair was fading to a light murky red. Her makeup was removed last night before bed. Monica took her notebook fromt the shelf and wrote her entry.

,Why does my life seem bad when it's perfect? The only flaw is that my dad whips me and Matt if we do something horrible. I always disobey the law and my parents but never seem to get caught. I know I shouldn't smoke or drink, but it feels good when I do. You know what I really want? Harry. He's perfect. Sometimes I imagine me and him-

"Moni! Get down her I want you to meet someone"

Matt burst into her room, like usual. She sighed and slid her book back into the book case. She stood up, fixing her hair, and following Matt down stairs.

She padded down the stairs with Matt on her heals. He was so excited, and Monica didn"t know why. They came around the railing and Monica stopped still. Adalyn Rose was in her kitchen, smiling evily at Moni. Adalyn was the biggest bitch at Merlon Bassey High and she was only a sophomore. Matt walked in front of Monica to Adalyn and grabbed her hip.

"Moni, you know Adalyn right?"

Her stomach twisted. She hated Adalyn. Adalyn hated her. Monica didnt understand why she was here. The only reason would be that she is dating-

MATT!

"Okay...well I'm pretty sure you do. Anyway, we started dating last night"

Adalyn fake smiled at Matt and glared at Monica. She was so angry that she gripped the railing until she heard a crack. Rage filled her entire body. How dare Matt do this to her? He knew they were enemies.


~Flashback~

"Mons come on. If you do it you'll be fully accepted into our group. Wouldn't you love that?"

Adalyn's face glittered with anticipation. But, she wasn't going to give in. Monica slid her had back into her pocket with the knife closed. No way was she going to kill her best friend. And no way was she wanting to be accepted in a seventh grade cliche. They would be over with soon enough.

"Fine then. You lost your chance bitch. I'm killing her myself. You can watch if you want!"

Her face turned from graceful to demonic. She took the knife from Monica's hand and shoved it in her purse.

"Toodles Mons. Oh, and if the cops ask, it was your cousin"

She evily laughed and walked away, her low lighted ponytail swaying back and forth. Monica's eyes teared up. What was she going to do? She didn't mean to get Adalyn involved. But she didnt know this would happen either. She wished it was all a dream. A dream that she would wake up from and go back to being best friends with Adalyn. That wouldn't happen though. This was real.

"Come on Mons, give me a hug"

Monica shuddered at that nickname. Mons. It reminded her of hell. Adalyn held her arms up and let her bangles jingle. Moni slowly walked into the kitchen but sat across from Adalyn without giving her a hug.

"Don't be a bitch Moni. She's trying to be nice"

Matt apologized for his sister's rudeness. Suddenly, Monica felt something coming up her throat. Like she was about to throw up all over the counter. Her head felt dizzy and she said something that was not suppose to be said.

"She, she killed Dana Girming"

Matt and Adalyn both turned to her from their hugging session. Matt's face showed complete confusion while Adalyn's eyes were warning Moni. She stood up and walked back to her room. It was almost true. She wished it was.
