*Lady Antoinette's POV*

I woke up to the sound of a dish smashing and my mother's shrill screaming.

"Oi! I should have known he'd pick that slut's daughter! I heard her father slept with the Queen herself!!"

I rubbed my eyes and groaned as I made my way out of my bedchamber, drawing my morning robes about me.

"What is it mother?!" I asked, dodging a saucer that shattered somewhere behind me.

"The Prince has chosen his bride to be!"

"Praytell who?!"

"Naught but that wench, the Lady Veronica Jewel!" I gasped and ran out of the doors.

"Antoinette darling, where are you going?!" *************************************************************

*Lady Mavery's POV*

"Shit!" I cried, throwing the now empty, glass bottle against the wall.

The Queen had all but insulted me in the court yesterday. Saying that I was too old to be a possible beau for her idiot son.

And then today, she had the audacity to invite me to the courts to meet his new bride to be.

But that was okay, it wasn't too late for me to still get my way.

I'd just have to get my hands a little dirty! *****************************************************************

*Lady Veronica's POV*

"Ronnniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!" I heard someone shouting. I peered through my velevt draperies to find Toni standing there, waving her arms about her head.

"What is it Toni?" I cried, letting her in to the manor .

"Theprincejeffersonhaschosenyou tobehisbride!!" She panted, trying her hardest to speak and breathe.

"What?!?" I asked, shaking her.

"What's going on here? Oh my! Lady Antoinette, why are you out in your morning robes?!" I heard my mother question behind us.

Toni turned a bright red and folded her arms across her body.

"Roni is going to be a PRINCESS!!" She shouted.

I heard my mother start screaming and shouting with Toni, but I couldn't speak.

"Roni? Say something? Are you not excited?!"

"Ai." I mumbled, before the ground rose up to meet me. ****************************************************************

*Sir Harry's POV*

"Ai mates! That's ten silver coins you owe to me! The Prince didn't choose that Lady Antoinette character!" Sir Liam shouted over the noise of the bar.

Sir Zayn let out a sigh of relief, and I looked over to him questioningly. He blushed and hid his face in his hands.

"Oi then! Who'd he choose?" An acquaintance asked, reluctant to hand over his earnings.

"They say he chose the Lady Veronica!"

I spit my drink across the table and sat there coughing.

"Oi mate! You okay?" Liam questioned, patting me on the back.

"THE Lady Veronica? As in the Lady Veronica Jewel?"

"Ai! That's the one! Her feisty self was strapped down sooner than I thought." He guffawed. A few other men laughed along.

I slowly stood up and ran a hand through my curls.

"I think I need some air."

"Oi! What's his case?" Someone whispered.

"I JUST need some air."

And then I was outside leaning against the wall of our quarters, afraid that my legs wouldn't support me. Of course she would've been after the prince! What had I been thinking?! What was I thinking now? I couldn't possibly LIKE the Lady Veronica? Could I? I shook my head and started shouting every explicative in the book.

Stupid women.

There was a lot of yelling in Udania today.

Must be a good sign.
