*Sir Harry's POV*

I was surprised to see Lady Veronica and Prince Jefferson standing in the garden while I patrolled. I was even more surprised when her name left my lips.

"Hello Lady Veronica. And my liege."

I politely bowed before the prince in my stiff armor.

"How do you do?" The prince asked, looking up my frame.

"All is quiet in the grounds." I looked over to Roni, who had paled a considerable amount.

"Very good. I may now sleep soundly in my bed without fear of Frellian spies. Pardon me intruding, but what is your relationship to the Lady Veronica?" Roni looked to be at a loss for words so I cut in.

"Veronica is a childhood pal of mine. Like a little sister." I tussled her hair and she played along, making a pouty face.

"Ahh! Hence why she jumped out of my arms so quickly! Afraid of her big brother beating up her love no doubt." He kissed her on her head and I swallowed the anger boiling in my stomach like a churning volcano.

"Ai! Watch where those kisses fall mister!" I jested.

Prince Jefferson laughed and shook my hand. I made sure I gave it a squeeze.

"Twas nice meeting you- Harry right?" I nodded.

"The pleasure is mine my prince."

Veronica cleared her throat and piped up.

"Jeffrey, may I have a quick word with Harry?"

He kissed her hands and held them to his cheeks. I looked away, stuffing my hands behind my back so that I wouldn't lash out.

"Ai my love! I will await you in the lotus garden!" He smiled at me and I gave another bow before he exited, leaving me with Veronica. She grabbed my hand and pulled me into a greenhouse type shed.

"What are you doing here Harry?!"

"I am a knight! Its my business to be here! But I could be asking you the same!"

"I am the prince's fiancee! I have right to be here same as you!"

"Well you don't have to lead him on if you don't like him. Letting him kiss you and touch you so..." I trailed off, folding my arms and glaring at her.

She cocked her head and looked at me through slanted eyes.

"Are you upset that I was kissing Jeffrey, Harry?" She took a step closer to me, leaving only a small inch of space.

"Psch. No! I just don't think all the physical affection is necessary. And it's JEFFERSON." I crossed my arms.

Smooth Harry, smooth.

She took a step closer closing the open space between us.

"I think that you are jealous."

I smirked and tried to ignore my sweaty palms.

"Jealous of what? Jefferson? Please." My voice was barely a whisper and two octaves lower.

"No. I think your jealous that I was kissing Jefferson and not you."

I froze, I didn't even have any words to say.

"Would you like a kiss too Harry?" Her voice came out a sexy purr. I thanked God that I was in a thick suit so she couldn't feel my "little me" begging to make an appearance.

Don't do it Harry.

But I nodded anyways.

She let out a quick gasp and next her lips were on mine. Warm and soft and...perfect. I wrapped my hands around her waist.

I could stay like this forever.

"Veronica?! Where are you dearest?"

We jumped apart at the sound of Jefferson's voice.

"I'm coming!!" She squealed, running away without looking at me.

I leaned against the wall of the shed, running a hand through my hair.

It would be a dangerous game, but I was willing to play.
