A New York Dream

-Are you ready? Jake said as he came out of the bathroom.
-Yes, just waiting for you. I reply and put on my jacket.

We were going out to dinner to celebrate our 2 years anniversary. And we were going to the restaurant were we first met but something felt wrong. He was acting weird and not as he used to. But I tried to shake those thoughts and concentrate on having fun since it was our anniversary.
We went outside to were our town car was waiting and got in.

The restaurant was crowded, it was Friday night and it seemed like the whole city was there. We were shown to our table and we sat down. A waiter had just taken our drink orders when a girl came up to our table.

-Hey Jake! How are you? I was about to call you.. Oh hi Belle. She said and looked at Jake.
-Hi Zoey, I´m fine, what about you? He answered and looked really uncomfortable.
-I´m good, here with some friends having a drink. You two should come join us!
-Thank you but we are celebrating our anniversary so maybe another time. I said with a huge fake smile on my face.
-Hm, okay. Have fun then. Call me tomorrow Jake! She said annoyingly and walked away.
-I didn´t know you two were such good friends. I was starting to get annoyed.
-Um.. You know that Zoey and I have the same friends and use to be at the same party’s and stuff.. He says nervously.
-Yeah, whatever.. Can we order now? I´m starving! I said, but I couldn´t let go of how he acted, especially after she came. But I didn´t want to ruin the evening so I let it go. For now.

After we finished and paid for our dinner, we started to walk to our waiting town car when I bumped in to my friend Justin. He was sitting in restaurant bar and probably waiting for a table since the restaurant was full. I told Jake that I wanted to go and say hello and he just gave me an irritated look and let out a sigh.

-Okay, but make it quick. We need to get home, I need to sleep. I have to get up early tomorrow. And followed me over to were Justin were seated.
-Hey Belle! Jake. So nice to see you, what are you guys doing here? He asked and gave me a quick hug.
-We´re out to celebrating our anniversary. I answered and looked at Jake but I noticed that he had walked over to Zoey and her friends. I sighed and continued to talk to Justin. What are your plans for tonight?
-We´re having a bite to eat and then we´re going to a party at Kendall´s. Why? You wanna join? He said with a smirk.
-Yeah I think so, Jake is going to bed and I don´t want to spend another Friday night at home watching Netflix by myself. If it´s okay?
-Yes of course! It will be fun! He says with the biggest smile on his face. We haven´t been out for ages!
-Nice, I will go back home and change to something else cause I can´t wear this. I said and looked down at my dinner dress. But I´ll call you when I´m done.
-Okay, sounds good! See you later!
-See you later Justin. I said and waved goodbye and started to try to find Jake in the crowed restaurant.
I spotted him talking to Zoey and she was holding her hand on his thigh. I went up to were they sat and told Jake “we should go now” and walked out to the car. While in the car I saw him hug Zoey and give her a kiss on the cheek before he got out of the restaurant and in to the car.
We didn´t talk much in the car home. And when we got home, Jake disappeared in to the study and closed the door behind him.
“That´s werid, he is probably calling Zoey or something” But I couldn´t care less right now, so I walked in to the bedroom and went inside the closet. I picked a tight blue strapless cocktail dress with a pair of black Louboutin pumps. “Damn my ass looks good in this dress!”
I fixed a simple hairstyle and put on some lipstick and I was ready to go. I grabbed my Michael Kors clutch bag and headed for the door when Jake came out from the study. He looked at me with a judgmental gaze.

-Where the hell are you going? He asked with anger in his voice.
-To a party with Justin, you´re going to bed anyway so I thought I would go out and enjoy myself instead of sitting here all night. I answered and got out of the door.

I got in to the town car and I was on my way.
