IMPRINT

We drove down the road at an alarming speed. Luke kept shooting glances back behind us as various models of sports cars and plumber vans chased out he bumblebee yellow Lamborghini Use were sitting in now.

I unbuckle my seatbelt and turn around. I hold up my pistol and begin to fire at the mob chasing us. I didn't care if I went to jail, didn't even care if I survived.

I just wanted him safe. He had such a promising future with his bandmates, and I wouldn't let him lose that for me.

I pressed my left hand firmly to the window as Luke makes a sharp turn. SO begin shooting again as soon as I regain balance. I got a few of the cars to come to a hault, but not brought to proclaim us both safe.

"Stop shooting!" Luke orders, keeping his shining blue eyes on the road ahead. "Just sit down, okay? You're scaring me."

"I'm fine." I snap. "Just keep driving, goddammit!"

"SIT DOWN!"

"DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME AND KEEP DRIVING!"

I could see lots of light beginning to approach behind me. I didn't think much of it until I realized that I was facing backwards.

I managed to fire one final shot before something strong and heavy came colliding into me. Every single moment of the past few months flashed before my eyes as the car came to an unsettling stop.

"Jade," Luke groaned next to me, pulling me back before I could slip into darkness.

I knew that there was no way I would survive this. "I love you,"

I used my final amount of energy to grab his hand before fading into the dim memory of when our fates first crossed.
