Chapter twenty
Is it bad that I've already planned everything out for the ending of "No Sound" and if there will be a sequel or not, but I haven't planned anything out for the next chapter? Hahaha xx
[I apologize if this chapter is boring, but I have a massive headache]
Chapter 20
*LOUIS POINT OF VIEW*
"Z-Zayn?" I said as I turned around to see Zayn in his waiter outfit and facing his little notepad to write our orders down.
"Louis?" Zayn said as he lifted his head up from his notepad. "Hey, mate! I didn't expect to see you here." He said, giving me a smile.
"Same with you." I said, sighing.
"Yeah, needed the money." He said.
"Well, when'd you start working here?" I asked, crossing my legs.
"Not even two weeks ago. Hell, not even six days ago!" He said laughing, "Enough talking about my job, who is he?" He continued.
"Who?" I asked with confusion in my voice.
Zayn started laughing, "You know who! Table for two at a fancy-new restaurant. I know you wouldn't pay all this just for yourself, mate." He said, giving me a wink.
He was right - Zayn knew me well enough to know that I wouldn't pay all this just for me. I cleared my throat, "I'm here wi-" I began to say but stopped when I heard the sound of Harry's voice.
Harry came out of the bathroom, staring at his hands in amaze. "Babe, the bathroom has cool looking soap. It's so fa-" he began to say, but stopped when he saw our waiter has arrived. "Hey, I think I've seen you around school, and that one time at Louis', if I'm right? I never got to properly introduce myself. I'm Harry." he said, sticking his hand out for Zayn to shake, but Zayn just stared at his hand in disgust, which caused Harry to pull his hand away awkwardly.
Zayn said nothing, he just looked down, and gave me a disappointed look -- and a hurt one too -- and then went to the back of the restaurant. All I saw from where we were sitting is Zayn talking to who I am guessing is the manager. We didn't really hear or make out to what Zayn was saying, but he did point at us while talking to the manager quite a lot, so I'm guessing he was talking about us.
Minutes later, Zayn didn't come back. Instead, a guy with brown hair who went by the name "Zack" came back.
"Hello, I'm Zack, and I'll be your waiter for this evening." He said, pulling out menus and handing it to us.
"If you don't mind me asking, what happened to the other waiter, Zayn?" I asked.
"He asked to switch out with someone, and the boss told me and him to switch out. He's taking care of the folks at table 6."
I nodded in understatement - though I really didn't understand it much really. Why does Zayn get so pissed off when Harry and I hang out?
"Well, I'm going to leave you two alone so you guys can pick out what you'd like to drink and eat, alright?" Zack said, and both Harry and I nodded, and then Zack walked away.
I stared at Harry as he flipped through the menu, seeing whats what. I tried to think of something to talk about to get Zayn off my mind, and without thinking, I tapped Harry's hand to get his attention and brought something up I knew I probably shouldn't have. "Harry, what did I sign to you today?"
