Chapter 15
Andrew pov
"Faster, guys." I said as I lead the line in jogging for 20 minutes.
"I can't feel my legs."
"How long as it been."
"Do we get water breaks?"
Most oat of the freshman complain within the minutes we ran. Once finished the boys dropped onto the floor and then they exhale quickly gasping for air.
"You do understand that you are not suppose to do that, stand up." I demand.
"What?" They all mumble and groan.
"We stretch again, slowly."I said wiping the small sweat beads off my forehead and lead the stretches.
Once that was over we did basic training, I was looking at who was fast, and had fast feet. I was along side with the coach, me and a few more seniors and who's been there long enough.
Right now the kid that stopped in the hall, has the fastest feet but his hands were everywhere and he has horrible balance. I would doubt that he would make it.
Once practice was over I went into the locker room to change and then I grabbed my keys from my locker along with my books and stuff. I seen the red headed kid come next to me getting his this he looks like he was upset.
"What's up?" I told him starting the conversation.
"Nothing." He huffed.
"This is only first day, you have all week. No need to be mad at yourself." I said coolly.
"I'm not mad, just disappointed in myself. I practiced all summer." He said pulling a hoody over his head closijg his locker.
"well, if you ever need any help," I said hesitating for a moment. "You can come home with me after conditioning, and we can practice there. " I strugged.
"I don't know." he said looking down. "I might just quit."
"You sound like me." I laugh. "I said the same thing, but you know, my uncle Lou said never give up on your dreams because If you keep practicing you can always pursue your dreams."
he didnt say anything for a minute it looked like he was thinking. "Okay, fine, I'll do it."
"Great, just tell me whenever you're free." I said.
" Tuesdays and wednesdays?" He questioned.
"Sure, fair enough, but I have to get going." I said
"okay, see you tomorrow." He said waving at me.
"later." I said walking out the locker room.
