*Susan’s POV (After the Flight)

Whew. Well 8 ½ hours later, and I’m finally in Paris. Good thing I was able to get a nonstop flight. I’m supposed to wait in the airport for the other girls to get there and then we’re all gonna go tour together. We're going to Versailles and it’s supposed to be gorgeous. I just can’t believe I’m here. I’m gonna get to see so much of the city while I’m here, plus learn from ballet professionals. This is gonna be great, but I will miss the girls a lot. I’ll also be worrying about Sammie and if she’s doing okay.

After an hour or two, all the girls’ flights have come in as well as our coach’s and we head to Versailles. When we get there, we see a bunch of other girl groups walking around. We aren’t the only school that was invited to come here. Schools from all over the world were chosen to be a part of this. Very few schools were chosen from each country so we consider ourselves pretty lucky.

While I’m looking at everything, I notice a lone boy who is with the UK ballet troupe. He doesn’t appear to be a performer but just a tagalong talking with one of the girls. I guess I’m staring for too long, because he looks sideways and spots me. He just laughs a little and waves, I shyly wave back.

After the tour is over, we all go out for ice cream. I’m enjoying my dessert just looking around when I see that guy who is most likely the boyfriend of whatever girl he's sitting with. Too bad, ‘cause he is adorable. I decide to be brave and go up and talk to them. “Hey you’re in the UK troupe right?” I ask the girl. “Yeah I am. America right?” she returns. “Yeah that’s right." "I’m Danielle.” “I’m Susan. Nice to meet you.” I say shaking her hand. “And this is my friend Liam.” She says gesturing to the guy.

Liam stands up and shakes my hand. “Enchanté.” And he kisses my hand. Pretty flirty gesture for his girlfriend being right there! Surprisingly she thinks nothing of it and asks me to join them. We end up talking about how we got started in dancing and what our favorite types of dance are.

Liam looks kind of bored but he just keeps listening intently to me. He really should be listening intently to Danielle not to me. I can’t believe this right now. I have to talk with him. “Danielle do you mind if I talk to Liam alone for a second?” She seems confused. “Uh..I guess?”

Once she’s out of earshot, I go at him. “What kind of a boyfriend are you? First you spot me during the Versailles tour, then you kiss my hand tonight and keep paying more attention to me than Danielle! Talk about not paying attention to your woman.”

“Whoa whoa whoa. Hold on a minute. I am not being a bad boyfriend. Danielle and I aren’t even dating.” Wait…what? “What?” I ask shocked. “We’re best friends. Her parents couldn’t come with her to this and she didn’t wanna come alone so I offered. And it just so happens that I did all of those things because I think you’re cute.”

I was not expecting this. I look down blushing and smile a bit. “Well thank you..you’re pretty adorable yourself.” “Would you maybe wanna hang out tomorrow? Or do you have to stick with your group?” Liam asks. “Um…I’m not sure. Let me ask my coach.” I say quickly going to find her.

“Hey coach, do we have a set schedule for tomorrow?” “I don’t believe so. Tomorrow is just your day to explore the city.” She answers. I go back to Liam’s table and tell him I’m free tomorrow. “Great! I’ll meet you outside the hotel tomorrow at around noon and we can go exploring together.” He says taking my hands.

“I would love that.” I say smiling at him. “You guys good now?” Danielle asks scaring us out of holding hands. “Yeah we’re good.” I say. “C’mon Susan we’re going to the hotel!” the coach shouts to me. “I guess I gotta go. I’ll see you tomorrow, Liam. It was nice meeting you, Danielle.”

“You too!” she cheers. “See you tomorrow, Susan.” Liam says winking at me. I wink back and go with my troupe. I can’t believe I met Liam tonight and that we’re spending the day together tomorrow…in Paris! This is gonna be awesome.
